[Best Buy] [Marketplace] Xiaomi Mi M365 Electric Scooter - $549.99 ($100 off)

If anyone is lookiing at the M365 scooter it is currently $100 off at BestBuy.ca via Marketplace: JPMobile (same seller as on Amazon.ca where it's selling for regular price $649.99)

I got mine approx. 3 weeks ago from Woot.com to use a toy and I love it.

Bought from JPMobile on Amazon a couple months back, was a clone, indicated by 4 screws on the rear mudguard instead of 3. Can't confirm what they have now on BestBuy.

man, I would have been pissed if I got a clone after ordering it from Woot.com in the US. I presume you had no issues returning it with it being fulfilled by Amazon and all?

Maybe because of the stronger engine, larger battery and some kind of Canadian regulations?!?

The worst part is you either have to get them from the US or order from China and wait months and then pay duty on of it.

I wanted to pickup the Kugoo S1 myself when I was in Poland in August as GeekBuying's European Distribution Centre is in Poland so I would have had it in hand in less than a week, and I thought with the $200-300 I'd save I would add it as "checked luggage", but unfortunately a majority of airlines will not allow it due to the size of the battery.

I knew it was a clone based on the Amazon questions and answers.

Mud guard broke and that lead to a chain of events of issues.

Bought the pro off of https://www.firstcanarywharf.com/xiaomi ... ic-scooter
$830~ all in. Got work benefits to pay half, arrived in two weeks.

Build quality is a huge difference and avoiding hard tires. Just use Slime tire seal and unlocked the speed to 35/kmh on my pro. Been great for a full month now.

also curious about this

my initial thought was pulling money from my HSA and calling this a mobility device lol
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

It's just a Health benefits service my work has. Where you can allocate your fixed benefits money to Health savings that you can only redeem when you purchase a service or item to better your life.

Figured the QC would be shit with the clones (there is a ukranian dude in Toronto on Kijiji selling clones for $500 from what appears to be his apartment :) ), luckily mine is genuine , confirmed via the welds, logo, three screws on fender, tire tread, and most importanly came with all the Xiaomi docs and connected to both the Xiamoi Home app and the Segway-Ninebot app without issues.

My M365 prompted me for an update out of the box and updated to 1.5.3, so am I out of luck when it comes to the firmware to unlock 35km? any risk to bricking it?

Wish I knew about the slime before I let my 250LB brother ride it, popped the back tire; luckily it came with 2 spares. I've ordered the honeycomb tires from AliExpress but will try to take it easy on the airfilled as much as possible and only install them once I run out of spares. In regards to the slime, I see conflicting info online, how much slime did you put in each tire and what did you pump them up to after the slime?

Firmware 1.6.0 is supported on the russian version of this page for the pro
https://m365pro.scooterhacking.org/
I can't say for the non-pro version as I haven't tried.

I put a quarter of Slime per wheel, I'm 175lbs so it would be harder to say if it has taken any punctures, I ride through uneven sidewalks and loose rocks pathways.
The clone had been switch to hard tires, but that just aged the metal too much that I was dealing with the latch a lot.

Thanks, did you deflate the tire all the way or just partially before putting in slime? also, what PSI did you pump them up to after? TIA.

Followed standard steps for Slime which means removing the inside valve which will deflate the tire completely, so pump needed.

I followed this guideline that a redditor sourced.
