[Best Buy Mobile] EXPIRED: Possible error - Koodo phones listed for $33 on Tab (S20 Ultra, 11 Pro Max, new activations only)

EDIT: I wasnt aware of Koodo's tab structure changes. The $33 appears to just be the largest tab offering per month. Nothing more to see here folks

Mods, please remove.

Stocktrack is showing Best Buy Mobile listing a bunch of phones for $33 upfront with Koodo Tab (S20/Plus/Ultra, Note 10/Plus, iPhone 11 Pro/Max)

I've linked the S20 Ultra in the Deal URL

Unsure if its an error or something else. May be useful for someone looking to sign up with Koodo. I'm assuming its for new activations only.

Lava hot if true

Edit : The price listed above is the monthly amount for the device, not including your plan.

Spread out the cost with 24 monthly payments at 0% interest. A down payment may be required.

It's probably just an update to how Best Buy displays the pricing.

Note the info box on the right.

Edit: Seems likely since it matches up with Koodo's own site.

Sounds like your monthly tab, not including plan or whatever amount you need to pay up front.

I appreciate the post OP but it looks like the $33 is per month. You're just financing the phone out for a two year contract on a select tab plan (doesn't specify which one)

It's not 0%. Koodo massively inflates the MSRP on Samsung phones to make up for it and then claim 0%.

It's against the Wireless Code too

On Koodo, there is a $1058 upfront payment. On BB it says "downpayment may be required" so there's your answer.

$1850 plus tax all in, plus whatever plan.

So the "error" is the same one as usual... Thinking Canadian carriers are actually offering a real deal... Sometimes they do, but more often then not, it's just another marketing attempt to hide the true cost.
There is no god. But it still feels good to be kind to people, animals, and the environment, so keep doing that.

Has anybody bothered challenging this yet? My guess is that "MSRP", as defined by the wireless code, is very different from "Price that manufacturers are currently selling devices for directly."
