Bought this earlier in the week and got it yesterday, no regrets. Researched if 128GB was worth it and came to conclude 64GB was good enough for the majority as game files aren't as big as regular VR games for the Quest.

Got mine, it is really fun, and as the poster said above, 64gb is more than enough.

Agreed 128GB is a cash grab. 64GB will fit more than enough games and apps, and most media apps you can stream.

Spend some of the money instead on a case and custom earbuds (that won't yank out with beat saber)

At this point in its lifespan I would wait for whenever the next gen comes out

Note that there is a 1 year anniversary sale on the Oculus Store and they have a few good "starter packs", perfect if you're new to the Quest.

Did you find something cool and solid? Thnx

does anyone here play beat saber...?

i recently bought the rift s and had to return it when i realized my laptop doesn't have a powerport (i thought hdmi would be fine). i maybe could have troubleshooted that but it seemed like a lot of work... especially in that i would be planning on modding for beat saber (need a good music library).

but of course, now i'm hesitant about the quest because i feel like it'll be a headache.... but i do really want beat saber, darn it! anyone here have experience with that...?

My Quest just arrived a few days ago. You won't need a PC to play Beat Saber if you purchase it from the Oculus Quest store. It doesn't look as nice as the PC version and I've read that it's more difficult to mod the Quest version but I'm sure you'll have fun anyways. You could also buy a supported cable and play PCVR games via Oculus Link. You can even use Virtual Desktop to play PCVR games wirelessly but it might be too laggy for Beat Saber. Do a Google search for what I just mentioned and you'll find lots of videos. My experience with Virtual Desktop is limited but it has been decent for Arizona Sunshine.

Agreed wait for the next version. Don’t get me wrong this model is great, but there’s some quality of life improvements I feel they’ll improve on the next gen.

they mentioned the oculus release cycle will be much longer than a cellphone, so if the Quest is 1yo I would assume it still has 2 more before a refresh.
