[Best Buy] PSVR Doom Bundle $267.80 - after price match with Walmart

Great price for PSVR Doom bundle for those interested. Price matched the Walmart price of 249.99 with BB for total - all taxes in - of $267.80. Not bad.

Is this the full kit, anything missing to play all PSVR games?

Also, is this the newer model so it doesn’t need some sort of adaptor?

It is 249.99 at bestbuy no need to match it. Also no controllers, those are valued at 130, or 100 when on sale.

So if you buy doom bundle u have to shell another 100 to get the controllers (not needed for doom but good to have for other games)

Essentially its 350 for doom when u add controllers VS 320 for Skyrim bundle. I personally don't care for Skyrim, doom is the better buy for me. Unless can trade Skyrim in and get doom without paying anything extra then that would be a better deal.

Actually can basically buy Skyrim bundle and then buy doom for 30 now and will be the same price. So Skyrim bundle wins especially if you sell Skyrim or trade it in

Someone mentioned in another thread to wait for E3 announcement next week to see if there will be a price drop, maybe that’s why we are seeing these discounts.

We're seeing the discounts because of Sony's Days of Play sale.

This bundle comes with the newer model, does not need an adapter to get HDR pass-through. I did some research, and the Doom VFR bundle was released on December 1 with the new headset (ie. it was never offered with the original headset). Walmart's website also lists the part number for the new headset (CUH-ZVR2).

They wouldn't match yesterday for me claiming different model numbers... I call shenanigans. I knew it was going on today as well but I wanted to save that extra bit

I already have the PS4 camera but no be equipment, what’s my best strategy to get in to PSVR given the fact I have a camera already, which bundle do I buy?

This bundle doesn't include the move controllers. The move controllers are required for a lot of games, and it makes huge difference playing with the dualshock vs motion controllers in VR so you'll probably want the move controllers as well. This is the newer model that doesn't need an adapter for HDR passthrough.

The V1 core bundles which only included the headset with no camera are no longer in production and it's hard to find one. Plus they aren't part of the sale anyway so they would cost even more. Although you'll end up with 2 cameras by getting the newer bundles, just sell or trade one of them in. I would recommend the Skyrim VR bundle because it includes the Move controllers. The Move controllers usually go for $130, and the Skyrim VR bundle is only $70 more than the Doom VR bundle. And if you don't like Skyrim VR, you can sell it or trade it in as well to bring down the cost even further!

Ended up ordering this off of walmart.ca. My account had a $10 off coupon, so I got it for $271.15 all in. Not bad. I missed out on the $299 - $100 EB Games coupon back in September/October, this is the closest it's been.

Best Buy only price matches on 10% of the difference, not 10% off the final price.

All of the retailers are selling all PS VR bundles for the same price so you wont be able to PM.

I picked up skyrim bundle yesterday at Bestbuy before the sale and pm'd it to Wal-Mart which started the sale early.

Eb takes skyrim for 16 trade atm. Rather keep or wait till double trade credit again.

Double TIV is a rare event, 1 time per 12 month+, Eb games only make it 2 times.

EDIT: 3 times, missing the february double tiv, so maybe more often in the future.

You can buy move controllers for 50 bucks brand new on ebay or used ones on kijjiji way cheaper. So the doom bundle is technically a better buy.
