Doom VFR also works with the Aim Controller, and actually holding a gun-like object makes the game far more immersive.

Plus they've now added free locomotion, as well as the original teleportation style.

It is sad that the list are old AAA titles or just plain out non-AAA titles...
like, what is coming out that is AAA title in the coming year or two...almost non-existent - far fetch Ace Combat 7

I think you need to accept that a "AAA" title for VR is vastly different than what it is on console/pc.

There is a ton of content on PSVR and its very accessible and enjoyable. You're not going to find a God of War... but to me, I don't enjoy using it for more than two hours roughly at a time, so I don't want a big long game.

You can go higher end on the PC but it's not as streamlined. I also personally find the PSVR the most comfortable of all the headsets. I also don't fog it up as much as the others.

I am very excited for Ace Combat 7.. supposedly there is a 15 hour campaign in VR. Hopefully some pvp dogfighting as well.

In any case, there will always be new bundles or even new versions of the headset. If what you see doesn't draw you in, save your money until then.

Come on man.. You are comparing new and used if you wanna go that route you can buy used doom, used headset, used camera and get it all cheaper as well.

Well E3 is just around the corner so we'll see what's coming out next from Sony's conference. And I agree with uklamen that games in VR don't have to be AAA to be enjoyable and effective. VR is more about the immersion and the experience. Dreams is one of the biggest VR games coming out and it'll enable players to create, innovate and share their own VR worlds with others.

Sony has a TON of unmoved units, stores are getting sick of stocking something that isn't moving, so they're authorizing a pricebreak to try and move some of this before it's dead in the water.

I'm sorry but if you look at the PSVR trickle over the past year, you'll see this isn't a good horse to back, I've been burnt too many times by Sony products that they abandon to get tricked again. PS2 Camera, PS3 Camera and PS Move lolipops and Navigator, PSVita(this one still burns), Wonderbook(I didn't go in on this one but it still fizzled and died), there are more but I don't remember them because they died so fast. I guess you can throw Simuliview into there, that 3DTV tech that allowed splitscreen but with 3D Glasses it allowed both players to have a full screen, that lasted about 2 or 3 games.

My point is they have a record of this kind of behavior(take a risk let it float a while and then drop it cold) so don't be upset if in 2019's later half you've got hardware that nobody remembers they created.

There might be a few PSVR titles at E3, but I doubt anything that will push PSVR into a stage where it has more matured games(less shooting galleries and other basic experiences) and more realized titles. I hope I'm proven wrong on this one, then I'll jump in on the PSVR.

I see that "long" list of games there, few are real AAA and few are well made.

I'm sitting on sealed Skyrim bundle until Sony E3 hopefully they give it some spotlight. But even without large announcements it's well made hardware for a reasonable price right now. Oh and used move controllers have ancient batteries from PS3 days that might have been discharged for long periods of time so buyer beware.

With the games out now, the experience PSVR provides and the current sale price I find it is well worth the money for me. Even my wife wants to give it more play time and she's never touched my PS4 since launch. To each their own. Rush of Blood was great into to vr for me and was free with PS Plus and according to my wife, I scream like a little bitch.

This is not true. The first revision units are gone pretty much everywhere and you would be hard pressed to find a brand new first gen unit at major retailers. Sony produced the 2nd revision units starting with the GT Sport bundle and even those ones are not as easy to find. Now the Skyrim and Doom VR are even newer 2nd revision units. Yes they are doing this sale to move units to increase the user base and be more competitive against other VR headsets, but nothing like because it'll be "dead on the water". PSVR sold over 2 million units in about 1 year.

You can't compare all the tech that failed in the past and extrapolate to any new tech that comes out. According to your logic, there can never be new tech that will succeed. And VR is not a gimmick like a lot of the products you've listed. VR immerses you into another world and has many applications outside of gaming. Many major companies realizes the potential and was the reason why they've invested so much in this tech.

Sony will support it if they see money can be made from it. For example the PSP was very successful and that's why they made the PSVita. But the Vita came out at a time when smart phones replaced portable gaming affecting sales, and so they stopped pouring money into it.

If you want VR to succeed and VR to advance in development, then better not spread doom and gloom, putting doubts in people's minds. That might be the reason the PSVR may fail, because of all the crap people hear on the internet. There can be so many advancements in VR and I really want it to flourish into the holodeck we all dream about.

PSVR is still in the early days so yes not much AAA content yet. If we want more we need to show them with our support. When game companies see a larger user base, they will put more money into their game development. But there are lots of great games that are not AAA, and from my own experience, it doesn't take AAA titles to feel the awesomeness VR immersion provides. Simple games like Job Simulator can give a very compelling experience.

Got my bundle yesterday from ebgames because i had 100 bucks in credit but i'm returning due to the fact i had motion sickness within 20 minutes of using it and it wouldn't go away for a couple hours.Plus the screen clarity was horrible and pixelated with the pro.Anyone know if ebgames enhanced return policy is still in effect?

People say the more you play the less you get sick. You have to build a tolerance.

I thought they didn't accept any returns other than exchange for the same product. I found out when I tried returning the steam Link.

If you have a red membership or above they have a enhanced return policy even if its opened they take it back for credit or returned to the original payment method but im not sure if anyone has successfully done it though. The enhanced policy if last i remembered had a certain day count policy deadline also if i can remember.

Yea i’m not sure if i want to wait that long plus theres no guarntee it will go away since everyone is different. I just dont want to get stuck with this thing and have to go through the hassle of selling if they don’t refund me. Plus the pixelation is very bad and this is supposed to be the revised headset. Can’t imagine what people with the first headset go through.
