Best Buy Returns?

I was reading in Engadget that there's some new Mac SKU's.. so I'm kinda worried that there will be some new Macbooks announced in the next week or so.

I'm going to buy a Macbook for my fiancee tonight from Best Buy - $1100 + taxes.

If there are indeed some new Macbooks coming out within the next week or so, can I return my purchase?

My friend was telling me that Future Shop and BB have some kind of 14 day satisfaction guaranteed policy.

Thanks..

Don't worry.

It's new MacBook PRO SKUs. MacBook's were just updated in November and are usually updated every 6 months (November and May). At least thats how its been the last couple of years with the MacBook's. The chance of them being updated is very unlikely.

MacBook Pro updates have been questioned every week since MacWorld.

Looks like I was wrong.

They released new ones.

2.1GHz, and 40GB more space.

Fark.. they released new Penryn MacBooks this morning.

2.1GHz, 120G HD instead of 2.0GHz, 80G HD of the MacBook I picked up yesterday.

And for $1150.. $50 more than what I paid. Fark Fark Fark!

Just my luck.. this happened when I bought my old iPod 2nd Gen in 2003 too!

I'll have to run in to do the return then.

Just hope that they have the new ones in stock.

When Santa Rosa was released, it was like a week or 2 before I saw them at Futureshop and Bestbuy. I guess to get rid of the old ones?

Even if they don't, I'll just return it, say that she changed her mind and wanted the Superdrive.

I can buy the new one from IBM (with my employee discount) and I'll probably get her the middle one w/Superdrive instead this time around. Comes with 2G RAM and the 160G HD.
