Do you need a Ring subscription? And can you change the sensitivity so the raccoons arent triggering it (and the neighbours)?

No subscription needed, and you can adjust the motion sensitivity and the light brightness through the app.

I have a pair from an earlier sale. Recommended, but buy extra batteries. Depending on the sensitivity setting it may turn on more often than desired. D cells at Dollarama, The Ring bridge is ridiculously priced at $70, but the light works without it.

Anybody have these integrated into Home Assistant as a sensor? I have my Ring camera working as a motion sensor but curious if these come across. I’d like to trigger another light switch if it senses motion.

Make sure this is secure during the configuration - MFA/2FA, strong passwords, etc. Also don't keep this on your main network! Isolate it!

I'm in if this works without a Ring bridge. I sold my Ring bridge since all it is is just a wifi repeater and is not needed if your wifi is strong enough to reach the device.

This is only a good deal for those who already own a Ring bridge. This spotlight has no wifi built in, so you can't manage it through the app without the bridge. It would still work as a dumb motion activated spotlight, but you would have no control over it.
