[Best Buy] Samsung 65" 4K NEO QLED QN90A $2,799.99 (26% off) Until Sept 2, 2021

I've been in the market for a new 65" TV and found this deal today. It's also available on Amazon but only has 10 left in stock.

https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-QN90A-QN6 ... 981&sr=8-1

Edit: Visions has the same deal with a 2-year warranty
https://www.visions.ca/product-detail/6 ... =QN65QN90A

Edit 2: Costco updated their price to match BB

Thanks OP! I will now have to return my Costco one that's I just received still in box.

I actually opted to buy from visions since they have an included 2nd year of warranty. It's the same price there as well.

Great price for this 65"! I am actually looking for a 55". (LG C1, Sony A80J, or Samsung QN90A).

Is this better than an OLED C1? At similar price points.

C1 and QN90A both have pros and cons. If you usually watch TV in a dark room and want the best picture quality then go for C1. If you usually watch TV in a bright room and don't want to worry about burn-in then go for QN90A. I have QN90A and am very happy with it.

Our local London Drugs has them side by side. They both look fantastic, but the Samsung demo loop avoids anything which would show blooming with high brightness against a dark background, while the dim store lighting doesn't let it show that it can go brighter than the LG OLED. Honestly I don't see how you could go wrong with either one if the price is right.

I think the two posts above me really sums it up. For me, I would love to get the C1 OLED but due to the fact I like to watch news channels (ex. CP24), there's a risk of burn-in so I will most likely get a geek squad extended warranty from bestbuy. However, I have seen both the QN90A and C1 OLED in-store and they both look fantastic. Getting the QN90A is my safest bet and I wouldn't need an extended warranty either since there's no risk of burn-in. My living room isn't too bright either so I can do either OLED or QLED.

So the question for you is what do you watch and what is your setup?

Dark room? OLED
Best picture quality with deep blacks? OLED
Bright room? QLED
No risk of burn-in? QLED

Neither are better than the other and both have their advantages/disadvantages.

Correct. That may be a deal breaker for many.

Anybody know about the rainbow reflection issue? Is it really distracting?

That's a bit of a hard sell to me from a value perspective. My thinking is: If I can't go with OLED because of bright room than I could get a Sony X950H for $1799: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/so ... h/14470546
Or even the TCL 6 Series 635 (which is also MINI LED like the Samsung from this thread) for $1,299 which many say is even better than the X950H

For my bright room I recently changed from wanting a 65" to 75", will probably wait for the 2021 TCL 6 Series 645 which is already out in the USA

The LG avoids fast moving scenes due to judder. They all have issues. Pick one that suits you the best.

Sorry for going a bit off topic but I've been searching for a 65 inch TV for around $1,000 give or take a few hundred. I just need it for streaming from a laptop/phone. No gaming. It's for my parents who aren't big into tech so they likely won't notice small details.

I keep seeing to stay away from those budget Samsung/LG TVs but I'm not entitely sure what to go for now. Everything is either crappy budget or out of my price range.

I think it's been mentioned that Costco only PMs for 30 days after purchase. With BF this close, I rather wait.

You get 2 year warranty at Costco standard
Vision makes you jump through hoops must sign up for rewards program within 14 days of purchase or second year warranty not valid
