[Best Buy] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" 16GB Android 6.0 Tablet $284.99 [Aug31 only]

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 on sale for $284.99.
Part of the Best Buy VIP sale but is marked as ending today, August 31st.
I just bought this yesterday from The Source too for $299.99 but used the -$25 off coupon so it was still cheaper.

Black model:

White model:
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/sam ... 50219.aspx?

Web site shows it as only $65.00 off but yesterday this was going for $399.00 so for once they didn't inflate their prices / markdown.

skidragoon wrote: Hey OP, I also bought mine at the source. Looks like they matched BB price so it's 289 at the source plus $25 email makes it cheaper. Looks like it's time to get this price adjusted.

Contacted The Source's Customer Support via email and received a reply that price will be adjusted:

"Dear Customer,
Hello,
Thank you for your online inquiry.
We will be matching the lower price now advertised. It will take 3-5 business days for you to see that refund. "

Anyone have this tablet? My worry is screen resolution.
I tried this tablet before. The resolution is ok and is better than the other Samsung tab A's. However, the brightness and color seem to be off. My biggest gripe, however, is its thickness and weight.

Despite the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 being older, it is still better than this much newer tablet.

would this be much of an upgrade from a nexus u 2013? In finding my current tablet often locks up when I reset and stuck at google logo and the touch screen often stops working so worried it's not going to last much longer

Thanks, I bought mine in store, did you buy yours online? Just wondering if that will make a difference. Would love to save a trip there today.

first one i got used to shutdown randomly. maybe 5g wifi issue. maybe something else. the replacement is doing ok. not sure if it connects to 2.4g or 5g.
have not done anything heavy on it n no problem in casual games n browser.
screen seems so so. nothing to rave about or complaint about.
what troubles me personally is the form factor and lack of bezel/deadspace meaning when carrying it (sure feels heavy), it is easy to activate soft buttons or screen touches.
in quick benchmarks it was ok on cpu n so so on gpu.
hope it helps.
was thinking of getting one for parents but iPad just feels better. n who knows when it will get Oreo n so on.

Mine was an online order.
You can always try. The email contact to support was very quick to respond.

Does the screen suffer from burn-in issues? Any ghosting?

I don't think so. The The Source refurb was the Tab A 9.7, the one that shaped like an iPad (4:3).

This one is the newer model, went back to 16:9 aspect ratio, has Android 7.
