[Best Buy] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8" ($149.99), A 10.1" ($249.99) S5e ($499.99), S6 ($699.99)

Let's not turn this into an iPad vs Android thing. Keep it on topic folks. If you're in the Android ecosystem, this is where to be.

Best Buy has the whole Samsung Galaxy Tab lineup on sale.

Someone posted an additional 10% off code 65548, 65552 using Staples who dropped their prices to match as well. I'll add that here until the code stops working. At the moment, staples would be the cheapest route.

Additional 1% cash back through ebates.

Galaxy Tab A 8"
32GB, 2GB RAM - $149.99 ($50 off), Staples - $135

Galaxy Tab A 10.1"
32GB, 2GB RAM - $249.99 ($50 off), Staples - $225

Galaxy Tab S5e 10.5"
64GB, 4GB RAM - $499.99 ($50 off), Staples - $450
128GB, 6GB RAM - $549.99 ($100 off), Staples - $495

Galaxy Tab S6 10.5"
128GB, 6GB RAM - $699.99 ($200 off), Staples - $630
256GB, 8GB RAM - $779.99 ($220 off), Staples - $702

All prices pre-tax.

*EDIT: New Codes

Very tempted to grab a Tab S6 at this price. I assume I have price protection through Black Friday with Best Buy anyways.

Edit: Just checked and The Source has the 128GB version on for $678.99 with my PSP discount: Link Here

Edit 2: Staples also has this price so it's likely coming down from Samsung and will be this price basically everywhere. Looks like the sale is until December 5, 2019.

Edit 3: This coupon code (65957) is working at Staples for another $25 off. Should work for all models in the OP as it's $25 when you spend $75 or more.

Edit 4: Staples 10% off coupon code works: 65546 - Credit to @Suthek over here: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/staples- ... #p31689517

I got a free TAB A as part of the Freedom Tablet Promo 15 plan.

Let's just say, I'm glad it's "free".

Android vs iOS.... it's still depends on which ecosystem you have fully invested in. I have say that iOS is definitely has improved to the point that I don't mind it as an Android guy. On top, anything equipped with A12 is definitely more powerful than anything Android side have at the moment.

As usual, as media consumers, either will be fine. As media creators, iPad's offering definitely have an edge.

Bought the s4 from Costco for 599 about month ago...Thinking of upgrade to S6 -256gb,8GB ram for 779 - 25

Staples has same item and price..called and they have extended return period until Jan 6, will price match until that time and we can use the $25 off coupon

Think I will jump on it..not an apple fan here

Anyone think any better discounts coupons may show between now and then @ staples??

Other retailers have this until Dec 5 so likely it's their BF price.

Pick and choose your coupon and rewards program.

Staples quite often has a 10% off coupon. I'm personally waiting for that coupon to drop again.

Got the S5E at launch because I needed a new tablet. Perfect every day driver, emails, streaming, sports, general reading, comics it does everything I need. Probably most things a person with general use needs would have.

Most amazing part is the screen, I can't go back to an lcd by any maker at this point.

On top I just have more flexibility with android. I have no ads, I've sideloaded apps that help with streaming and comics. It's literally my media consumption device.

At this price plus further discounts is amazing.

Huge difference. Avoid the 8" Tab A if you want to do more than 1 thing at a time. The 10.1" Tab A is a bit faster, but with 2GB RAM it still won't be able to multitask much. It will do a couple things at a time well though. But not many tasks.

Definitely go for the S5e if you want to multitask. It has the SD670 in it, which is the same processor as the Pixel 3a. Decent midranger. If you can afford the 6GB go for that, but the 4GB should be fine.

The Tab A only has dual bottom firing speakers, while the S5e has quad stereo. Big difference in sound quality as well.

S5e screen is also AMOLED, while Tab A is LCD.

Which Tab A? The 8" is pretty old. I wouldn't really bother with it if you can help it. It will get the job done, but it won't be quick. And the screen resolution is only 1280x800. The 10.1" is much better, and has been updated this year. It would be decent for browsing and youtube. It is limited by 2GB RAM, so don't expect to push it for multitasking, or gaming though.

$497.99 at Costco for the Galaxy Tab S5e for the 64GB version. Is that a fair price point for a tablet considering the specs? I'm looking to upgrade from my 2013 iPad mini 2 that has slowed down considerably and is barely usable. I would prefer an Android tablet as I have an Android phone and like the "freedom" it presents itself but wouldn't mind an iPad either.

Based on your guys posts, sounds like it's a good tablet for the specs/hardware it has. I took a quick gander at Costco a few days ago but didn't really fully look at it to form an opinion. I like that the S5e can be synced with your Samsung phone to answer calls and answer texts if your phone isn't near you.

Also, would the Costco warranty be $69 or $99 since it is $497.99 atm?

It's a fair price yeah. Also take into consideration the build quality. It's not cheaply made. It's got quad stereo speakers, long battery life, 2560x1600 AMOLED screen, and it's light at only 400g.

Someone else made a staples thread with a 10% off code 65546. It would bring the unit down to $450 before tax. Which makes it even better. You might want to look into using that code and ordering from Staples. But if you did Costco, their return policy and warranty would be better. So your call. I'm not sure which warranty price Costco would charge.
