Site crashing is their annual tradition. It's nothing like Boxing Day till Best Buy site crashes and burns.

repeat of black friday and last year and the year before that. I wonder how many dollars in sale they lose when their site crashes and do they just keep hiring the same people every time to manage their site?
I guess their Dec 24 & Dec 25 Webcrashers statement is to be taken somewhat literally

stuck at online checkout queue; it's been 1% for like 10min.

I finally managed to checkout. First couple of times after the queue, I got a checkout error / page not found error.
I went back to my shopping cart, dumped the USB stick doorcrasher (that I figure was sold out by then, since it had been at least 15 minutes in the queue) and it took me right to the final checkout page, no queue required.
I'm still in queue in another browser, hanging at 32%.
(And I was only after the online-only Canon printer. Wasn't planning on buying one, but as luck would have it, two days ago my decade-old HP color laser started spewing magenta toner all through the guts. And the imaging film gave me an error. So this sale was actually perfect timing for me.)

Worst garbage site I've ever seen. Added a product to my cart and then while I sat in queue it all ran out. Still not even through queue. Solid effort Best Buy but major fail.

What really surprised me that they could not confirm the stock at the moment when I placed my order online.
It means I DO NOT KNOW - did I buy the item or not since the item could be out of stock and they inform me 24 hours after.
This is ridiculous!
They killed all competition and they are not able to arrange the sales properly!
