Hmmm I am really considering this for a light use home computer for my kids. I was going to buy them a used Dell N5010 for $130 off kijij.
It doesn't matter to me if I get a desk top or laptop.
Are there any drawbacks to this gateway machine? I have been looking for a decent pc in the $200 ish range and this seems to be the first in a while.

Looks like a very good price. I wouldn't get a used one off kijiji, a brand new one has support and warranty.

The OS alone will cost you $100 which I am assuming will have the free upgrade to Windows 10, then you have a 1TB 7200 rpm hard drive, 4GB of ram ($30-40), a decent looking case and bonuses like built in wi-fi, keyboard and mouse.

A good price for a basic PC. No way you could build one cheaper.

Seems like a decent deal. No idea why BB think's it sooo critical that we need to see 6 pictures of the front of the tower and not a single pic of the rear. I always like to see the back before I buy.

Weak CPU, but everything else is decent. Picking one up for my daughter to replace an aging Win7 PC. Hopefully I can upgrade the CPU down the road. Not much information out there.
Thanks OP.

FYI if this is the PC I am thinking of the case has no open expansion slots on the back, although the motherboard might. Could be a factor for some.

It's a good deal, just add a $100 SSD and it'll be a mini $300 beast! :D

The CPU is on par with a seven year old lower-end Intel CPU: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Pentium-E ... MD-A6-5200 in performance, but the power consumption is better.

Argh I missed out on the laptop deal yesterday. For how long has BestBuy been offering these daily clearance deals?
