Don't see how this is hot. 3-4 months ago you could get this card for $200 or less. Yeah, they're in short supply, but you're paying almost $100 more than you should.

I paid $175 for this card last Summer.
Even then I felt it was under-powered and returned it for a refund.

I could care less about what you think. At least I'm trying to help those who might want to purchase this card. What have you done except flaunt your GTX 1080 LUL? Can you find a lower price for any card higher than a 1050ti right now? I'm waiting.

A hot deal is different from finding something with limited stock. GTX 1050 Ti is $280-300 right now. Even at 'current market pricing', this is perfectly average.

Most, if not all are not in stock. The online inventory count is not even accurate. You'd be waiting for a very long time calling every single week to see if they are in or not. LUL

I don't think miners are really snatching these cards, if anything it would be the 1060 6gb ram at a minimum.

I've been following prices for this card for a while and this is on the high end. $220 seems to be the price that I come across the most. SO no, this is not hot at all.

Don't take it badly OP, we get you're trying to help, it's just that this isn't as good a price as we need right now :/

True, but what can you do when miners are purchasing everything else while gamers are left with basically slim pickings.. some miners are using the GTX 1050 TIs OC, 1050 TIs and 1050s to mine Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, so prices are extremely inflated to hell. Even if Nvidia and AMD tries to increase production, I believe same result unless countries around the world implement extremely strict policies and legislation on the mining of cryptocurrencies. Unfortunately, won't be for a long while until they sort this crap out. If you need the card buy it.

Being in stock is sort of an important thing. When you consider that, $220 is not the price you come across most. It's not even a common price for out-of-stock Ti's, but those are irrelevant anyway. In short, I don't know how you can say that no matter how you slice it.

This is more of a discussion thread than a deal thread at this rate.

For Freebush :

Why is this a bad deal?
- Price is way above msrp. Just because this is the "best" price you can find on a product doesn't mean it's a good price
- Limited quantities doesn't mean a lot in this context, just means they don't have infinite, and they aren't too worried about running out at this price
- Price match will not work, the card on mikes is different from the card on bestbuy (mini vs oc version) on top of limited quantities listed on mikes site which they will use against you.
- Even discounting previous points, trying to upsell something that's close to a 960 for almost $300 is not a deal in 2018. The budget minded aren't looking to pay that much for a video card period, and the people who are looking for good price/perf, which is what this card is aimed at, is awful at that price point.

People on the site are looking for deals, not reminders that card prices are through the roof.

As a side note:
- People are not salty just cause they don't like your deal. If your deal sucks, people will tell you it sucks plenty on RFD
- It's nice that you want to help but since you've already done the research, you should've realised it yourself that this is not a deal. This card has been up for that price for a while, if anyone wanted it they could've gotten it weeks ago at that price.
Ryus wrote: I don't think miners are really snatching these cards, if anything it would be the 1060 6gb ram at a minimum.
People are actually starting to grab up 1050ti 4gbs due to good ROI and simplicity of setup (no 6 pin required) at this point.
Sounds weird but yeah it is getting that bad.
CollegeGraduate wrote: How much are those now? Planning to sell mine for a profit. I got it at $380 all in. Can I sell it for $500+?
You should check your local market, but it looks like it's around $4-500 just from taking a quick look.
Don't mind the other guy who said you were a terrible person, just because he can't find a video card at a reasonable price and has to throw shade.
rseiler wrote: Being in stock is sort of an important thing. When you consider that, $220 is not the price you come across most. It's not even a common price for out-of-stock Ti's, but those are irrelevant anyway. In short, I don't know how you can say that no matter how you slice it.
The spike is more recent, happened over the past month or so. Maybe he hasn't checked recently so he's not aware of that?
That being said, this is very much a peak price for the item. I would never advise anyone to buy at peak.
Just look at the cryptocurrencies in question; telling people to buy at a bubble is not in their best interest and it's just better to wait for the bubble to pop.
You'll be rewarded in the long run.
If you want another example, it'd be like telling people to buy SNES classics from a store at 100% markup just because they have readily available supply.
Do you really need to ask why it's still in stock?
A good deal dies as fast as it comes in my experience, sometimes it takes a few hours but if it's legitimately good value, people will buy without having to slam insults.

actually this is not a bad price for the card. you would be way better off getting this lower end card than anything else right now since it is peak price if you're building a computer. a lot of those refurbished and second hand cards 1060 plus might've been trough a lot of heavy mining and might be taking a lot of risk I would think.
if it is the best price on the market right now go for it but ive seen full built computer desktop on here for 700.00 including a 1050ti, so in no way it is a buy now think later deal.
oh and the next video card gen is supposed to be soon I would suggest you wait, it is supposed to be quite a jump in power.
