Cam you be a bit more specific, what type of bakery/cake you looking for? Italian, Greek, general North American type cake?

Please don't say those cream-filled Chinese sponge cakes... :D
Tis banana is IRIE

10% off is cold, 50% off is warm, 75% off is hot, but FREE IS RFD!

-Novello's on Bullock (east of CF-Markville) is an Italian bakery, they have nice cakes. I like the traditional and black-forest cakes there. Everything else is a bit sweet though
-Agincourt bakery is down on Pharmacy just north of Finch
-Village Grocer (fine food supermarket) has an awesome Jelly Roll cake

Duo at Leslie and Hwy7 hands down the best cake shop uptown. Price is actually cheaper than newer places like Patisserie Fleur, Daango. Butter Avenue has good macarons but cake is just avg in my opinion. Patisserie Kirin at Warden and Hwy 7 is also worth trying.

Wanted to try La Rocca, but the smaller ver they sell in grocery stores have expiry date of about an year (not frozen)....... not sure if I can trust it

Another vote for Village Grocer at 16th and Kennedy. Their strawberry log cake is awesome.

I'll second Duo. Their cakes and tarts are amazing.

Do you know the prices for a cake (6-8 servings or whatever the largest is)?

Their individual cakes and tarts are about $7, larger cakes range from $28-60 depending on size and design I believe. I can't get their site to load properly, so I'm just going off memory.

Their site didn't have prices anyway when I checked.

Thanks for sharing.
