In my opinion, every intervention in RFD deserve a "thanks". Thanks given until now: more than 100,000

Not sure about the customs reaction.....

Well it'll go through customs and duties either way. However if the shipping costs are really that high, doing it yourself does seem like a reasonable option if you have some time.

You'll drive from Quebec City to Erie, New York to save $500 but spend $400 in fuel and meals to get there?

A company I occasionally work with uses Day & Ross (sameday.ca) for bulky transborder shipments. Don't know the $, but the company is fairly cost-sensitive and not a frequent enough shipper to have some insane corporate rate, so worth a shot?

Mind you, I am currently going through frustration attempting to *receive* a bulky domestic shipment (from homedepot.ca) that happens to being sent via this same shipper, so I can't exactly endorse them wholeheartedly.

PunkeyDoodles Corner…
There is a thread on RFD about discount shipping options.

I currently use www.freightcom.com

I used to use eShipper for years, but 2 years ago switched over. Happy.
