Best current nationwide + unlimited text plan available?

I'm currently looking for two new devices an iphone 8 64gb and google pixel 2 64gb. Rogers has offered me a 12 gb nationwide unlimited talk and text for $186/taxes included a month for both lines with only paying $49 up front for both devices.

Is anyone aware of any better deals out there or is this half decent?

They had 6 Gig plans for $60 during the holidays. Assuming you were able to get that, the delta is $66 per month

$66 x 24 months is $1584 + the $98 up front cost is $1682 meaning that each phone costs you $841

You figure it out from there

The iPhone is $929 and the Google Pixel is $799. I assume the deal is 24 months. Total hardware cost with tax (ON) is $1952.64 or $81.36 per month.

Rogers plan is $186 month + $49 upfront which comes to $188.04 a month.

That leaves $188.04 - $81.36 = $106.68 a month for the plans. So, $54 a month each, taxes in seems really good for the plans.

That seems to be the best I can get out of any carriers that I've called around. Keep in mind I am located in the Kamloops, BC and don't have access to as many carriers as back East.
