I have used this before in my trunk to keep a subwoofer box from moving around & it held up really well even on the track - https://www.amazon.ca/VELCRO-Brand-Indu ... r=8-6&th=1

Also this is the stuff we use for mounting blackvue dash cameras, it works REALLY good, I cracked my windshield this summer & since I was replacing it I tried to pull it off and could not, I had to get the windshield guys to remove it some how so its really strong - https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collectio ... -2-channel

Also try 3M VHB tape. Problem might be finding a small amount needed for just a dashcam. VHB=Very High Bond

This has never failed on me in the last 10 years and it always comes off clean when I need to take it off.

Are you using it correctly? It takes time for the tape's bond to cure to the surface. Something like 3M's VHB has specifications for proper usage:

Doesn't the cam come with a mount? Any 3M mounting tape should be fine--get the kind with the red backing and the grey material--that sheet don't come off even when you want it to, lol. Make sure you are cleaning the surface properly and applying pressure once stuck for at least 60s or so--follow the directions on the package.

If you were in the GTA and had a 407 transponder I'd tell you to just order some more double-locks from 407 lol. They are free if you just request new ones and you'll get them within a day or two (before you could just walk into the 407 office and get them but now the office is covid-closed). But since you're in AB, that's not gonna help you anyway.

Fell off twice? Clean the windshield with 99% isopropyl alcohol and do the same on the cameras mounting surface before applying the tape. Also, dont apply it when its really hot outside.

If you have a 407ETR account. You can request their double side tape to mount their transponder. You are allow to request one new set every yr. Those one are very good and "free". (Or included from your 407fee)
