Seriously?! The Hamilton Beach must not even be in the list of best kettles.
I bought one and only afte a month it started showing rust spots on the inside bottom. When I say rust, I mean iron corrosion. The stainless-steel bottom of the kettle is not a food grade stainless steel but a low-grade STAINLESS STEEL THAT STAINS (that's paradoxal isn't it?).
Save yourself money and buy another kettle.

Hamilton Beach Glass Electric is the worst kettle I ever bought, very poor design, the lid does not seal completely with the glass, it leaks everywhere when I pour water in my cup.
