I called videotron today to see if I can bump up my plan for cheap and was able to.

I had the Hybrid 15 (got this through RFD as it was posted, about 3 years ago) which gave me 20/10 D/U and 300GB/month - came to $53/m including all taxes, etc (cable modem free rental)
I saw that TekSavy had better value on their 30 plan than Videotron so I called to see what bump I can get, for nothing to minimal spend. Basically I wanted a bit more bandwidth as well as capacity as more and more HD content is available to be streamed, so I don't want my connection choking and going over my limit.

I got bumped to 30/10, 450GB/month for another $3+taxes/month. Normally this deal would be 75+ or close to that... worked out ok for me, very quick. Was told this is only good for 2 years, but whatever, in 2 years a lot will change.
-also came free with their router, which I told them not to bother sending me as I'm not interested

Just my 0.02, sometimes it's worth a call.

Teksavvy is the best deal for cable, 30/10 for 47$
I think i'll switch to ebox 60/10 for 54 since 30/10 is slower when more than 1 user streaming

I'm with Videotron on 120mbps unlimited, I had 5$ rebate for a year that was going to expire in a month. I called to tell them I was going to cancel because 80$ was too expensive for me, the girl put me on hold for 30 seconds and came back to offer me the same speed and unlimited for 55$ + tx for 24 months, modem and router (AC1900 I think, I only keep it as a back-up) are included.

My plan B was going with Virgin's 50mbps for 60$, so I'm pretty happy about the deal, saves me 2 appointments to remove Videotron and install Virgin. She even gave me a credit for the current month since it was already billed that day.
do you other services or just internet?
Rogers Unlimited Province, 7gb $39/month! Thanks RFD!!

I have unlimited Internet 30/10 and TV with 20 custom channels and paying 80$, I need to move over traditional TV to IPTV. I know a seller in montreal but not sure if he has Canadian and french channels on it.

I don't watch tv i have it for my wife which she watch few french Canadian and few us channels like ABC and for sure Telemagino for the kids.

If i found a seller french canadian and us channels i will cut the TV.

I'm on Ebox 60/10 cable plan, not sure I want to go through the hassle of switching ISP to save 10$ a month and get Cannet's 50/10 DSL plan when I don't even see any DSL plan on Cannet's website. For now I'm sticking with Ebox as I've never had any issues with them. Vmedia DLS 50 plan looks really good if you already have a modem but I don't want to pay $100 for one.

Does anyone have any experience to share of using ModemOutlet's plan through Videotron in QC? The price is attractive but I don't know if there are performance issues (throttling, port blocks, etc) or customer support issues.

Yes, going to check into that, I have a modem so if I can use my own, that will be good and I may switch.

I called their customer service number, 1 877 512-0911, followed the instructions to change services or cancel, not sure what it was.
