For only ONE person who consume around 100 to 150gig /month is there any advantage to take 100/120M plan or 60/75M plan could be enough
Actually with Carrytel 50m/10m feel enough the only issue is the ping time for the only one game I play online.

I narrowed my search a this 3 choices in order
Oxio 60M/10M $45.00 - free month - $25 referral
Fizz 60M/10M $50.00 - $45 referral
IVC 75M/10M $39.95/2 years + $59.95 Installation fee
From reading other threads, fizz is too expensive, ivc is too slow, so oxio is probably your best choice
Disclaimer: I am using fizz but they raised price multiple times already

In order to not be disappointed, Fizz referral is $40 (not $45) until November 18th.
The only advantage with a 100/120 Mbps plan is the faster Upload speed, sometimes 20 Mbps instead of 10 Mbps.
That could be useful for multiple Zoom calls at the same time for example.
But since you say "ONE person" that would be of very little use for you; save your $$$.
Since you estimate your consumption to less than 150 GB/month, you don't stream much.
To save, you might look at 25 Mbps Download speed which is enough even to stream in 4k.
If you don't stream in 4k, 15 Mbps is enough: Oxio's 15/10 Unlimited is $30 per month...

There isn't anymore 100M/30M plan on IVC now is 150M/15M $49.95
Are the modem & router separately or just one unit... ??? Look like the modem they offer is the CGN3 which is modem/\router combo
100M/30M IVC plan always there, you need to choose QC as province.
My V-Cable line is activated this morning as planed. However, I had to call in to reset the modem then everything works like a charm. I was able to connect direction my ASUS Mesh (AC86U) directly to IVC modem, no problem. 112M/35M on speedtest (see attached). Really happy with price/service. Highly Recommended.

Separated, modem TM822G (without battery, used one) and SR120-A mesh AP as router (new). I use my own AC86U router.

10 Mbps is a lot.
Some do Full HD streaming with less than that.
Before uping to 20 Mbps, make sure the problem is not the app, the computer, the router, etc.
I'm with Fizz 120/20 and once you go up, it's probably hard to go back.
Even if you don't really need it, it's psychological.

Right now I have Fizz and pay 50 cad for 60 mb. I'd like to move to videotron 400mb for 75cad. Does my modem from fizz work for videotron? or Do I have to buy their modem Helix?

All new Videotron installation will be on HELIX modem. Can't use any other modem's.

Plus, since Fizz and Vidéotron are separate companies, Fizz would ask their modem back. You don't own Fizz modem. It's a free rental.

Quick question. I recently got installed the latest V-cable 100/30 deal from GEMS Telecom and I get very consistent speed results. The examples below are using the Fibrenoire server but I get the same results using Telus, Bell or the other servers.

Wireless 5g: 88.16Mbps - 34.66Mbps - 10ms ping from the Fibrenoire Internet server
Wired on the router (TP Link Archer C60 AC1350): 88.49Mbps - 34.63Mbps - 11ms ping from the Fibrenoire Internet server
Wired directly to the modem: 108.20Mbps - 34.66Mbps - 11ms ping from the Fibrenoire Internet server

I get that the wired LAN ports are 10/100 but how come I'm always getting 88Mbps. And that's with a single device on the network.

Maybe you live in a crowded Wi-Fi neighborhood.
Maybe the router is not great at automatically selecting a less crowded channel.
Try manually changing channel in your router for your 5GHz network.
If you are on a crowded channel with your neighbors, it can affect the speed of your Wi-Fi, even the ability to connect.
Use a program called “inSSIDer Home” from MetaGeek to know about your Wi-Fi neighborhood and then manually select less crowded channels in the modem/router.
Download and install from this Website or from my cloud.

If you have another computer/laptop then try to plug it in your TP Link router and do a LAN speed test to see if your TP Link able to provide maximum 100Mbps speed.
