best prepaid credit card?

I would like a credit card that I can use for automatic renewal subscriptions to prevent accidentally not cancelling before the renewal charge. Example the new yorker is $6 for 12 weeks and I want to try it but the renewal is $200 if you forget to cancel in time.
What would be the best low cost card for that?

Most non-reloadable prepaid cards will not allow you to make recurring charges. You can buy a small balance card just for the initial subscription, and if it works, to update the record before the 12 weeks is up.

I use Koho for that. I keep a $2 balance which is just enough to allow those small authorizations that check that the card is valid, but of course reject any amount over $2. One time I was able to “extend” a 2-week free trial to six weeks this way.
