Best used video card for Cuda

Looking into Cuda to speed up some some numerical simulation python scripts for school, and need to grab a card off Kijiji under $100.

Will any card work?

Is performance in double precision that I am looking for? or if the version matters?

I had a Nvidia Quadro 4000 card that was used for CUDA in a Mac Pro that I bought. I sold it to an architect locally. For your budget I'd say it's a little bit over that range but should be very good.

I don't know for kijiji, but I just came across one for 100$ US on ebay + shipping.

How about the GTX580? the double precision floating point seemed to be on-par if not outperform the more expensive cards?
