Best way to resize low pixel black + white image without blocky edges

No haters please. I have a 400x400 web image. Basically a black and white image of a wood etching. I want to upsize to print at 5x7inch. I tried photoshopping with resize, preserve something or other but the black edges look blocky. Any other better way? I know it will be poor but what's best option?

You can try Photoshop. Scale first and then, copy your layer and make a high pass on it, use soft light or overlay. Hide it, and with your original layer, make a surface blur. Reveal you high pass layer and mask anything that look weird and afterward, add a bunch of noise.

I'm sure you're aware no matter what the applications or techniques used, your picture will not look great after scaling 5 times its size and also starting from a tiny picture.

There is a full featured trial too, if that helps, though it is a PC/Mac software AFAIK

Did you have to pay for that one time use?

I found some 'medicine' on 'the bay'. Now I can compliment my real art $$$ with some smaller replicas.
