Best way to ship something from Taobao to Canada?

Hello

I was looking into DXRacer chairs(Around $270-330 here) and found out that in Taobao they are dirt cheap(Some low as 60 dollars). I tried using the Taobao agents that offer international shipping, normally this wouldn't be a problem but the DXracer chairs weigh about 25 kg which translate to really, really high shipping costs according to the shipping calculator most taobao agents use; additional cost per kg(Shipping average around $400 from the 4 taobao agents I used). They all seem to use EMS, DHL or Air mail which have similar pricing. Is there any cheap option to ship from China? since I don't believe the minimum to ship a 25 kg box is 400 dollars; if not then I guess I can just order from the American site or Costco. Unless someone knows a far better chair.

$400 for 25kg sounds about right. Why do you think $400 is a "high shipping cost"? You do realize that the box is large (and maybe oversized) and 25kg is not light. People seem to overlook other factors such as distance, fuel, labour, international shipping vs. domestic shipping rates, etc.

over 20kg, the shipping would be about USD $5/kg ($17 for the first kg), below 20kg about twice that - that's freight - it will take about a month to arrive. quoting that from experience. ordered 23kg package from china early 2014 - paid $105.
