Needed a dehumidifier and found this deal. Was able to get Home Depot price match through chatting with their online chat support agent a few minutes ago.

Sorry. Multitasking so forgot to paste in hyperlinks:

Upd: even cheaper version from Costco in white for $220 (has a pump, which the HD/BB version likely does not not have) (credit skeletorrrrr ):

Slightly less powerful 40 pint $190 delivered or $180 in-store (credit ves211):

Just adding to help - if you don't care about color and have Costco membership. They have a similar one 50 pints in white with pump for 219 online

Edit to be clear: it's a bit different than this, and HD / BB don't price match Costco

Wow I totally missed this. Other than colour, does anything know what the difference may be?

From a real quick glance seems like Costco has the built-in pump vs the others not having. Not a deal breaker but can be for some.

but I wonder if the other one has that too because they both list direct drain feature. maybe the other one has it as well just not highlighted the pump in the description? I exported the comparison from the official site:

Shit I just bought this at BB this past Sunday. If anyone wants to know it works great. We have it in our 800sqft basement and fills in about 8-12 hours.

Purchased it for our big earwig problem and havent seen one since we plugged it in sunday

does it have a pump? lol I am curious if the costco model is in some way superior. I definitely want to drain it directly, don't have time to keep track of it filling up

Both have direct drain but the pump is a separate feature. Like direct drain drains from a bigger hole in the back and it's gravity done. The pump drain will pump from the tank in the front once it gets to like a certain level and that's a smaller pipe they use for that specifically

Purchased the 40 pint one from Costco for $170 +tax instore. Seems to work well. More than enough for a 1000sq.ft home.

Direct drain is a passive hose and the drain has to be below the height of the dehumidifier, like a floor drain.

A pump can pump the water out up to a higher drain, like into a sink.

Personally having a pump is super-handy, and all units that have a pump should also be able to direct-drain if you want to do that.

ah gotcha. I cancelled my HD order. will go to local costco and see if they have $170 version of 40 pint, even without pump I will just strap it to the basement ceiling if I have to.
