Been looking for an Android TV.
My wife came across this, she was actually looking @ BestBuy's boxing week flyer and sent me this link:

However, this will be back on sale during boxing week.

only 1 USB is bummer. By the time I insert my USB wireless airmouse, there's no way to add more connectivity to it.
Wish they at least give 1 USB....
I love android TV, so flexible, but 1 USB>>>>____<<<

How might this compare to the Hisense 55 that's slightly more on Costco.ca but I think has hit the $399 price tag before? 55R61G

Don't know since when the Price on bestbuy.ca back to 399.99CAD, Ordered one online with Free Shipping. It says delivery before Jan 5th with Purolator. Maybe deliver to store can get it earlier.

A report came out a few months ago that TCL's Android TVs have backdoors that allow people to spy on you. I think that's supposed to have been patched, but might be something to keep in mind if you care about privacy.

What kind of information can be gained by spying on a TV? Would it be watch usage and potentially audio if there's a mic? Most of these TV's don't have cameras.

Soon our "smart" fridges will be spying on us.

I have one of these for occasional use.
The remote is crap, and it doesn't really do HDR well. I use an ATV device to stream and fix it at 4k SDR.
Aside from that after a quick cal it's fine for the $.

Costco offers similar model/price. TCL is great imo.
Don't forget that Costco extends the manufacturer's warranty up to 2 years.
