Shipping to Ontario is about $63 Cad + Duties (13% + $1) will bring the tv to about $1222 all in.

Issue is their return policy: no return on open box, can reject a return, can charge 15% restocking fee, return shipping is on the buyer.

Great deal.

Don't fight it folks, this is solid.

If you're not a defect hawk, you may want to jump on this.

Great price. Too big for a monitor, too small for a tv tho :(

It's a niche size. Some use it for a monitor. And some would use it for a personal gaming tv in some form of "man cave". But you're right, for 90% of people it's an odd size.

This would be great for my bedroom, I was looking to get like a 50" Samsung frame tv, this could work. Hmm

Yeah that return policy, hmm.

Awesome deal, I'm holding out until this time next year to get a 42" c2 though.

Would this qualify for PM @ BB? The models are different - PUB vs AUB

Most likely not since BB requires it be a canadian retailer.

I see the same LG oled tv for 65 inches is cheaper then Best Buy. Does Best Buy price match

For me personally, not everyone!
Couch too far from wall :(
And my desk depth makes it too close

Would be great in like a den or something

I'd have gotten a 55 inch if I had the room but the wall of my living room in my condo is literally filled and I don't have room for it, so I bought the 48 inch last summer for $1899. I really enjoy it, and my couch is like 8 feet away from the TV so it's fine for the space I'm in. Definitely too big for a monitor in my opinion though unless you're like 5+ feet away.

I've had good experiences with B&H had to return a defective unit and got the replacement no questions asked in one buisness week, but YMMV of course. I'd still recommend buying in Canada for warranty and once you factor in shipping and taxes you arent saving much and adding a lot more risk.

Also LG's free TV channels will not work without some real tinkering with service menus (I cannot confirm its even doable), since the TV is registered as a US model and your units origin code must match the current region to activate the LG Channels service.

Another factor is the NFC functionality is removed on the US model only the Canadian version has NFC on the remote for the 2 people who use that to cast phone to screen.

Anyone wanna bet BB has this on sale for "Canada Day" to clear out? The new C2's are in so fingers crossed.
One thing that disappoints me with this is the stand has that huge butt that sticks out (21cm I think).
I saw the 42 inch C2 stand and, although it isn't as nice looking, it makes the TV stick out from the wall way less when sitting in front of it in a small bedroom like the current C1 stand.
