AMEX will probably ding me some crazy unacceptable FX rate but this still works out to be cheaper than anything seen before as per CCC

Sorry for my ignorance - but couldn't you build a much more powerful NAS and use FreeNAS for this kind of money? What is the appeal here? What am I missing?

The deal appears to be over.

But you didn't have to do anything special. The coupon was listed right on the website. When you added it to your cart, you just had to select the $110 coupon
