B&H Photo Video is a reliable merchant. I bought my current phone from the. Let them take care of customs and duty and the price quoted will be the price paid. No surprise. Shipping was fast.

Limited quantities at those prices. The deals won’t last long because it’s posted on another US deals Web site.

Those are not flag ship phones anymore. You buy this if you need a cheap phone. Before downvoting "Not a good price", you have to post a better cheaper phone that is currently in stock!

Like time traveling to 2017’s bezel craziness lol

But hey it’s cheap

Still using this phone, myself. Works great. Zero Desire to upgrade to the 4 or 5 - not a huge performance bump (IIRC, the 5 was actually a downgrade from the 4)

This phone is notorious for having camera bricking issues after upgrading to a certain version of the official firmware and Google has still not released a public statement taking full responsibility for the issue

Yep, I'm using it as a workphone, not many apps, more like a glorified dumbphone, but loosing the back camera was a huge lost. Now I have a Pixel 5 as a main. I am a little tempted to buy, but since the problem is a software one I still keep my fingers crossed.

Interesting. Haven't had this issue, but also haven't upgraded to the latest firmware.

I usually don't upgrade right away anyway. Last time I did on my Pixel (1) XL, The upgrade messed up charging and killed my battery. My 1XL also still works great now that I replaced the battery.

Lesson: don't be hasty to upgrade your OS. Let everyone else work the bugs out.

BH just had a few deals on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL. I got the Pixel 3XL 128GB for $199 USD a few weeks ago.

Pixel 2 is too old and unsupported at this point.

Contemplating, but the lack of wireless charging is throwing me off, along with the lack of back glass, and the screen and camera issues.

To be fair, I'd rather buy the Pixel 2XL at this price ($200 cdn) than the Moto G Fast that's $170 in Ontario at Costco (factoring in our sales tax).

The Pixel2 is actually not a bad deal if you want a smaller phone (5") screen and don't want a Iphone. Although with the big bezel the size savings in the phone are not quite what they should be.

It's just that all these phones will have terrible battery life by today's standards.

To be honest, I initially downvoted this, but I changed my rating to an upvote. It's a good deal by Canadian standards, you usually get garbage in the sub $200 price range unless you are looking at phones shipped from China.

In the sub $200 Cdn price range... it's still king unless you are gonna order from China. AMOLED screen, really good camera.

Flaws are big bezels, poor battery life... And the reports of the camera bricking are unsettling.

I'm happy with my Pixel 3XL from BH, came to $285 all in for the 128 GB version.

I said this in the Pixel 3 thread, and it rings true for this deal as well: If you're looking for a nice entry into Xbox Game Pass streaming, this is a great option: 5" OLED screen, front-firing stereo speakers. Couple this with the Razer Kishi controller on sale (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/d/razer ... btxd1vmh00) and you have a great mobile Game Pass experience for ~$270 (cheaper than a Switch Lite)

I like using older flagship Android phones for dedicated purposes. Give them new life. I've not read about the camera bricking issue. Such a shame, because that creates an immediate pass for me. Still tempted for no reason anyways.
