Bike recommendation for bike trainer

I've got a kurt kinetic 2.0 fluid trainer and I don't have a bike that can be used with it. My current bike is a POS Canadian tire bike that I got 20 years ago and it has a solid axle.

Any recommendations on a decent bike that i should buy to use with my bike trainer? Something cost effective would be ideal.
