Spend the weekend in the USA
Our deals here don’t come close
Even with food & accommodations (cheaper options in the US)
You can still come home having made money in savings

That is if your intention was to shop anyhow

Go to work and make money instead of spending it

Only buy something if you were already planning to

0. Make a list of stuff you actually need.
...
3. If something on sale isn't on your list, the move on.

Reality:

Troll rfd all day and try and buy whatever deals everyone else are buying

My reality:
I’ll be out buying my home sports theatre that I’ve been saving for a year

Which is the point I'm trying to make.

A deal is only good if you actually need the item. Otherwise you not only didn't "save" any money but rather you wasted the amount you paid, no matter the size of the discount.

I agree and people definitely use the term “need” too loosely. One could argue anything other than bare essentials would be considered a want.

That’s why I didn’t use that term in the first place and said to only buy something you were already planning on

This site is 99% wants 1% needs

Go look/ try out the clothes today but buy it on black Friday (save time on that day)

Shop online and avoid people - remember use ebates for cashback

Don't drive to Yorkdale or take public transport (if you are Torotian)

BF not necessary the cheapest time to shop, cheapest sale usually happen in a random non-season time.
