That seriously is a great combo! The 18-55 IS and 55-250 IS are more than enough to keep you shooting, for a long time If I may add, before you decide to upgrade your lens catering to your needs.

Nifty Two Fifty ftw!

Are you referring to Dell stock? You can still place an order even if it says 'Temporarily out of stock', and they'll still ship it to you once they get more. :cheesygri

In order to price match with bb or fs dell should have it in stock

I pricematched the Dell deal at Futureshop in Vancouver (Broadway+Pine) yesterday. I didn't think they would match it since its out of stock at dell.ca but after a couple of phone calls to the mgr, I got the deal! The camera is reg. $799 and the lense is $349; so Im pretty happy with that price.

Note: Futureshop currently has the deal for $950 and I told the salesperson its only a $50 difference w/their current web deal vs dell's.

It's tough to get a real straight answer on these questions. Some guys are Canon guys some are Nikon guys.
With either one you can't really go wrong expecially for the price. Go to a camera store (not futureshop or a chain store) and try them out, most of the guys in those stores are real camera guys and will be able to teach you everything you need to know about the cameras to help you with your decision..

If you get really serious into photography and get a semi pro or a pro DSLR then I would begin to worry about the nitty gritty details of which one is better.
