Sigh..."a" stand...guess it's better than nothing...

News release this morning: As opening day of the Blue Jays new season approaches, a new promotion at the Rogers Centre is sure to catch the average baseball fan’s eye. Executive vice-president of business operations Andrew Miller says starting this season, each level of the stadium will have a stand where everything is $5, including beer. It’s quite the departure from the regular prices for canned beer which can cost upwards of $12 for a tall can. The $5 brews will be available in 12-ounce sizes, but it’s not clear which type of beer will be at the stand. Miller said they are trying to find ways that “fans, as they’ve expressed to us , can get more value when they’re at the Rogers Centre.”

Is it confirmed that it is only one stand? Or are they just saying it will be available on every level of the stadium?

How long will the lines be at this stand?
If you line up at first pitch, I'm sure you'll get to your seats by the 7th inning stretch.

Doubtful. For such a limited series and it being in a different city/venue, they're probably going to try to make as much money as possible during those 2 games. The $5 beers are probably also a way to try to sell more tickets and last I checked, the Montreal series was close to capacity (unlike most home games in Toronto right now).

Curious what the selection is going to be. Based on previous years, the only beers I would even pay for at the dome are the Goose Island offerings. Everything else is just overpriced beer-flavoured water.

Hahahahahaha sooooo what they're saying is they don't want you watching the game because of how bad the team will be?

I suspect that it might be a respond for weaker ticket sales. But...I already have my 2019 ticket package, so I probably won't have to sell my kidney to get some money for the beers.
