A review of it states "The website seems to suggest Wireless Charging. Neither the box or the instructions suggest Wireless Charging. There is a more expensive model that does wireless charging. "

So the $19.99 has wrong description? It states 10w fast charge . Looks just like the Samsung version rebranded

Samsung version does not have pass through charging.

Bluehive is a Canadian Tire own brand

Canadian Tire recognized the emergence of the mobile electronic accessories as a growing business but they did not have a brand in their portfolio to suit the category. This included products such as USB cables, power banks and charging stations. They turned to Jump to develop the brand and packaging that would fulfill this need.

This product does not kill Corona virus, so it's effectively useless as disinfection in current times.
Any claim of killing Corona with UV should be taken with a grain of salt:

Health Canada has issued a warning against using ultraviolet (UV) lights and wands that falsely claim to disinfect household items against COVID-19.
The federal agency says they are aware of products that are advertised as using UV light to rid personal items, such as keys and cellphones, of the virus.
“Health Canada has not yet received any evidence to demonstrate that UV lights can protect specifically against COVID-19,” they said in a release. “Selling or advertising health products that make false or misleading claims is illegal.”

The Samsung one was tested with UVC dosimeter cards and it took 100 minutes to sanitize - but only did the top. So you'd have to leave your phone in the sanitizer for 200 minutes to sanitize it against a MRSA/C.DIFF dosimeter card, our best guess as to what would work on the novel coronavirus.

And we're supposed to believe this thing produces a 30 TIMES higher dose AND cover the bottom?
Link to test? Cause none of what youre saying makes sense.

Not buying these false assurance products when it claims it needs just 3 mins. UVC at certain wavelength does kill the virus without human skin health hazard from what I recall from those med video.

If you have an IP68 phone and aren't lazy, just take a bath with soap along with the case every time after you go out. Use alcohol/hydrogen peroxide in between the trips.

This is why you verify everything you see on the internet yourself, especially amazon reviews.
For 1 he clearly has an MRSA card next to the 50/100mj card. These cards arent the same.
According to the manufacturer the MRSA card changes color at 10mj/cm². Not 50mj, not 100mj like he says.

Covid 19 is shown to actually be killed between 5-22mj/cm

So according to that amazon review, the samsung UVC box is actually pretty effective. But unless samsung specifically claims it can kill Covid 19, you should still be relying on other methods.

Something not mentioned in the description is that this unit requires 5V @ 3A to work.

Word of caution; this cleaner requires 5V/3A
It doesn't specify Watts but it each light uses 2W and the fast charge uses 10W. Use a wall charger with minimum 14W 5V/3A adapter or don't charge at the same time.

This cleaner has a 3 minute cycle and most devices have 10 minute cycle. I prefer to repeat the 3 minute cycle at least twice for metal objects such as keys.

Dimensions : 19.7cm x 10.6cm x 3cm (7 3/4, 4 1/8, 1 1/8)
Its the 3cm depth that makes this cleaner so exceptional from others

The website seems to suggest Wireless Charging. Neither the box or the instructions suggest Wireless Charging. There is a more expensive model that does wireless charging.

When it comes to UV sanitizers this one is perfect for its price. Can fit my phone with the case on. There are lights at each end, not at the sides. But I tested contamination on the middle of the screen using a blacklight and it was gone after 2x the 3 minute cycles. This is because the phone sits low enough.

My regimen (COVID-19) when I walk inside my home is to place the phone (in its case) in the cleaner, go wash my hands then sanitize the back of the unit. I keep some disinfectant wipes next to the door already. After I'm done, I throw in my bank card and keys. Was easy enough to get the whole family on board but I may need to get a second one of these.

Will probably continue use of the cleaner after the pandemic ends - because its simply good hygiene.

Curious does UVC also degrade plastic?

The research says that UVC light does kill the virus, not sure about UV.

But even it is UVC, this may not work since you need UVC direct exposure to get virus killed. In this case the light can't cover all sides of your phone so not all area would be sanitized.
