Very low threshold of 500$ for bonus categories per billing cycle if you read the fine print.
Cards: Aeroplan Reserve • Plat • Cobalt • US Green • Chase • Bonvoy
Banking: Wise • Tangerine • Chase
Flights: AC SE • AF/KLM Gold
Phones: AT&T • Fizz • Google Fi • Free.fr

That's 3% groceries for the BMO Cashback Mastercard only, doesn't apply to the World Elite.

I have this card still however due to the promo I got at the time its free so I choose not to churn it, I have had a great experience with it honestly, roadside assistance used 4 times for various things, one catch to it...they are supposed to tow you to a repair facility of your choice, I do my own work so a supervisor has allowed me to tow twice to my garage at home but had to overide it. Cashback would go straight into BMO account when redeemed, they gave me a balance transfer offer so I stopped using it for now....however once thats paid off since Rogers devalued and seems to be hit or miss with customer service this will likely be my daily driver again

This is perfect for the next 3 months as I don’t plan to spend much. $667 spend average a month to maximize the $200 cash back. Applied and approved.

What are your experiences with churning BMO cards and getting welcome bonuses?

Yes, the terms state that welcome bonuses will not be provided for people that have been a cardholder in the past.

Good timing, as I've almost maxed out the 15% cash back on my Tangerine MC.

I got the BMO Airmiles WE back in 2016 for the purpose of booking 25% discounted flights. It wasn't FYF but the WB and perks paid for the card. Applied again in 2019 because of FYF and to my surprise, got the 3000 WB airmiles again. I'm going to cancel soon and try to product switch to this Cash Back WE card.

Another option would be to downgrade to the free BMO air miles card. I applied for the WE air miles card a couple of years ago when they had a FYF offer with some bonus miles, and downgraded before the first year was up. A few months later, BMO sent me an offer to upgrade with FYF and some more bonus miles. IIRC, the upgrade offer wasn't as good as the one for new applicants, but the spending requirement was lower and no new application required.

Why?

10% ... on $2000 max. spent is a decent promo.

And then would have to see if year from now can tie it up somehow for the permanent usage (for 1.5%), when Rogers 1.5% goes down hill some more (after I end up not spending 15K on Rogers card).

Sweet. I'm going to set a reminder to apply for this once July 20th passes for my AMEX Platinum.

Yup, there seems to be a problem entering the start date for one's previous address. Tried different browsers, same issue. Probably won't be a problem for those who have been at their current address for more than two years.

I have the regular BMO cashback card that has been inactive for 6 months, I know I can't product transfer for this deal but is it possible to apply as new? I know the answer is probably no, but some banks do allow it

If you have the regular card and not this one, why would you think you wouldn’t be eligible to apply for this card?

The terms state
"The 10% cash back offer and first year annual fee waiver offer is limited to new BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard accounts and will not be awarded to current or former cardholders who reinstate a closed account, product transfer, or who open a new account. Limit of one bonus offer per account. "

My takeaway from the wording is 'Current cardholders who open a new account are not eligible' I am a cardholder, just not of this specific card hence the confusion. I do see what you mean. Maybe I'll call them to be absolutely sure
