But if you shorten it to this, for example, it would show 5%:

https://www.bmo.com/main/personal/credi ... ack-offers

:)

You can clearly see the difference in what I shorten in the CODE mode: :D

Code: Select all

10% link - https://www.bmo.com/main/personal/credit-cards/2-cashback-offers/offer

vs.

5% link -- https://www.bmo.com/main/personal/credit-cards/2-cashback-offers
:)
It's also clearly in the T&C number 5.

BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard applications must be received between May 1, 2020, and Oct 31, 2020. You will earn 10% cash back for every dollar spent or $10 back for every $100 spent (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) in the first three (3) billing cycles from the account open date up to a maximum of $2,000 ($200 cash back) in eligible card purchases. After the first three (3) billing cycles or $2,000 in card purchases (whichever comes first), you will earn 1.50% cash back or $1.50 back for every $100 on all card purchases. Annual Fee waiver: The primary cardholder annual fee of $120 will be rebated in the first year and will appear as a fee and a credit on the primary cardholders first statement. After the first year, the annual fee will appear on your Credit Card statement twelve (12) months after the Credit Card open date. The annual fee waiver offer does not apply to the Additional Card annual fee. The 10% cash back offer and first year annual fee waiver offer is limited to new BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard accounts and will not be awarded to current or former cardholders who reinstate a closed account, product transfer, or who open a new account. Limit of one bonus offer per account. If you cancel your card within ninety (90) days from the date your account is opened, all CashBack rewards earned within that period will be cancelled. This offer may be withdrawn or changed without notice.

Sure ... but I was only talking about possibility to "shorten those links" ... -- the one in your post there above, seemed a bit long :)

Some supervisor or manager at the BMO branch (where I dropped in to do something, when I was passing by on Monday) told me that you charged one month ... and then get credit a couple ( 2 or 3 maybe she said ) months later.

I didn't even ask her, lol ... she just said it on her own, without me asking the question.

I kinda doubt she is correct on this one ... ( and hope she is wrong ) :)

You get it back in the first statement:

Annual Fee waiver: The primary cardholder annual fee of $120 will be rebated in the first year and will appear as a fee and a credit on the primary cardholders first statement.

I just put over $2K on it yesterday, so I'll see if it posts 10% on the rewards site. (I'm not sure if it updates the credits right away or monthly though)
Did you happen to have any cashback credited to your account yet?

Nope, all my purchases are posted but my monthly billing cycle hasn't completed yet. So I'm sure it must post after the cycle is done, hopefully not too much longer afterwards.

I'm late to the BMO game

Can BMO cards be churned for the welcome bonus despite what the terms and conditions state?

Hold for six and reapply after 3?

I have a question regarding the travel insurance on BMO W.E. cards (yes all BMO W.E.).

Per prince of travel (see the link below), the travel insurance becomes in effect as long as you charge partial costs to the card...and apparently the T&C states the same as well. I am simply wondering if anyone has successfully claimed travel insurance when only partial costs (e.g. redeeming aeroplan miles and paying the tax or surcharges with bmo W.E.) are charged to their bmo W.E. card, and if the insurance claim process was smooth.

(the relevant part begins at the 5:18 mark)

I am basically done with the promo ... Now all that left is to wait for the promo cash back to be awarded.

Paid this AM $2000.00 in total towards my City property tax ($1955 something towards property tax + 44 something in fees ..... -- through PaySimply).

My statement generates, I think, on 23rd of each month.

P.S.

While being on the phone with BMO yesterday, the Rep confirmed to me that they can see (somewhere on their end) this 10% promo (instead of 5% regular promo) somewhere in my account.

So that was cool to hear. :)

Applied online and got a message for me to come into the branch (unable to process application due to the fact that they cannot confirm my identification). Not sure why though.....

I read this clause as one 10% cash back on $2K spend per account ever, but I saw someone mention on another thread that BMO offers one time "welcome bonuses" in general (e.g. if I get this Cash back WE, I can't get the welcome bonus for the Travel WE card in the future).

Similar to this question but inversed:

Does anyone have a quick DP to refute or confirm this?

To me it would seem bizarre to exclude cardholders that received welcome bonuses for another different BMO card.

Thanks in advance!

I received WB for BMO Travel WE before and recently received WB for BMO Air Miles WE with similar T&C.
