I've been shopping around for glasses and saw that Bonlook has many glasses for 50-70% off, it can be as low as $44 including prescription lenses! A 1.67 lens upgrade is $60.

You can order online and they also have many stores in malls where you can try out the frames.

FWIW, the quality is piss poor. My wife bought two pairs, one is already broken and the other is barely hanging on.

When I went in store they looked fairly decent, but what kind of issues did she have? Like they get loose after using awihle?

Lose after a couple of weeks, and the arm fell off on one. Every time I go to the store, there's no optometrist to fix it.

I prefer Ollie Quinn.

Ah they're another one of these "cheaper" stores, will take a look too. Looks like their standard lens is 1.6 which should be ok enough with my -5 prescription.

In-store:
If you're in GTA, I recommend Mega Save Optical. Great prices, great customer service and they have a wide selection of frames, including designer ones with heavy discount.

If you're in Montreal, I recommend Bonhomme à Lunettes. They have pop-up stations in community centres around the city. Really good prices and they donate for every pair sold. Those in need pay only $20 for glasses. No brand name, but they do have an adequate selection and you're supporting a good cause.

Costco is also a great choice if you're a member. Good selection, fair prices and great customer service.

Clearly has 18% cashback on eBates right now. They have a lot more selections and quality seems good to me. They also have 40% off first pair (not sure if still on) and lots of frames on sale.

@aintic Thanks for the alternative, will definitely check it out Mega Save Optical.

Currently using Costco, but felt like my location was lacking in style of frames.
No issues with their services & products.

My SO uses Bonlook, no issues as well on their services & products.
