Is boredom linked to depression?

I remember an RFDer (Keelie?) mention before that they knew a guy who committed suicide, even tho everything was fine in his life. He was just bored. So, is boredom a kind of depression?

I imagine there is more behind that then just boredom. As i guy I know it is hard to talk about my thoughts and feelings(like most guys) and I have dealt with depression like most people. Boredom might just be the excuse that was used but not the real issue. It is sad that it came to that ending and if only someone was able to get through to him, how hard that is to do.

This is what we all have to do more is talk about this and let people know that it is ok to feel sad and it can be better. All we have to do is talk about it.

Becks, don't do anything stupid. (If you are bored)

That a pretty huge oversimplification of a serious mental health issue.

Look up the DSM 5. It is the go to manual when it comes to mental health disorders and diagnosis.
