Thanks for spotting my mistake. But hey isn't it a pleasant surprise, the price dropped another $10 in the span on 5 mins after I posted? ;)

I think QC35 ear pieces fold together as well as fold flat.

It looks like 700 just folds flat, so slightly bigger carrying case

BTW, this refurb version of the 700 ** has standard case ***. The new 700 has the option now for a charging case = $99 extra over the regular case

edited - confirmed, comes with regular case, even though it's not listed in description

Yup, I think 700 is less desirable for travel. I don't travel much, so this may not be an issue. I think the sound quality on the 700 is slightly better?

are bose refurbished usually cheaper in store? So when this whole virus is over could this possibly be found cheaper in store?

I believe so. There is a 20% discount at the outlet mall at Halton Hills last Christmas. I can't wait till Christmas this year, we may still see business not opening, Bose may close all physical store and most of all, I don't want to lose my limbs to the Christmas hordes.

is the 700 significantly better than qc35? You can get QC35 on sale for 210 once in a while.

I'm thinking now that this has come down in price, the qc35 will get even cheaper, as well as the qc25...
*RFD - once you're in there's no getting out.*

I think QC35 II went down from $359 to $329 when the 700 dropped on the Bose Outlet Refurb section online.

Just to clarify, looks like the refurb version does not ship with a regular case. According to the specs section, headphones, cables and start guide.

Not really a problem if you aren't using them for travel or if you want to pick up the charging case in the future.

The firmware update clusterfck. I personally didn’t notice any change after a firmware update but many complained so much that they now allow firmware downgrade. Guessing a lot returned unit instead ?

If you install the Bose app , it’ll automatically update the firmware so try the phones without installing app so it won’t update .

I got the QC35 II refurbished about 6 months ago after several years own owning QC 15s.
Wireless is fantastic.
Sound quality is great.
The microphone function...not a huge fan. Have noticed it quite a bit now, what with all the lovely conference calls I get to be on.
A) the mic seems to pick up quite a bit of background noise in calls.
B) it has "side tone" functionality - if you're using the headset for a call, it picks up surrounding noise from the mic and feeds it back into the headset. It's supposed to get rid of that weird feeling where you can't hear yourself when you're talking with noice cancelling on. Which, conceptually, is great. However, since A) is true, it also feeds in all the background noise...which means no real noise cancelling during calls.

All this to say that I've heard the 700s have fixed this issue, so I'm debating picking this up or not.

Anyone have direct comparative experience?
