break/replace garage floor

I am looking to replace my garage floor and I am inquiring about price for it (it is double side garage - 19x19).

I am wondering if somebody did it recently and how much it cost.

I am thinking of up to 1500$ (1200-1400 $ is in my eyes fair deal) for demolish garage floor and take out concrete.

What do you think ?

I think that estimate might work for just demo....you're not figuring replacement into that, are you?

Yeah, you budget sounds reasonable for demo and removal. Expect to pay anther $3K-$6K to pour a new slab depending on thickness, base prep etc.

In this economy, i don't think somebody is willing to pour $6000 for calling track and dump concrete in garage but I could be wrong. Those things are usually done once in many, many years and it is difficult to get right estimate.

I separate work in 3 areas:
- demolish garage floor including removal of concrete - estimate ~ 1500 $
- order concrete - I guess ~ 800 $ (just estimate)
- ribar (add metal net) garage floor, level it, pour concrete - ~1200 CND

In total, 3.5-4K $ ...

The another problem is that almost everybody has measuring tape and pretend that it is so busy. Personally I can wait and for sure, in couple months those company are going call me back :) The price of ~ 4000 $ is only for July/August
