I love this machine. I've had mine since 2015. Still going strong. I remember paying $439 for it during Amazon Prime Black Friday. (Reg price back then was $699) Crazy to see how much it's gone up!

Wow we've come a long way, these used to go for $459 after stacking the 20% coupon, back in early 2020. Heck, I bought my breville dual boiler at BBB for $980 January 2020, now they're $1700 on sale lol.

Isn't this item "Excluded from coupons" ? Still better than full price anyway.. Already own one, highly recommend it!

I just filled up a cup of coffee from my $6.88 (last year) fully automatic Walmart coffee maker.

Have any of you noticed below, and if so any solution:

1. Grinder performance going down - need to keep tuning to a finer setting

2. Group head dripping water when steaming milk.

Thanks!
1. Buy cheap, buy twice
2. Don’t buy because it’s cheap. Buy it when needed or it brings convenience/happiness/better quality in life
3. Buy now think (regret/return) later
4. If the gut says don’t tell your lady, don’t!

Breville went too far with their "inflationary" prices. Retail on BDB is $2400 which is insane.

It says excluded from coupons? Do certain ones still work?

On Amazon, the BDB goes for $1900, which is still significantly more than the ~$1100 it used to go for 4 years ago (just look at the chart on 3 Camels!) Historically, Breville machines have always been cheaper on Amazon compared to the "big box" stores like Best Buy or BBB; I bought the BES840XL Infuser on Black Friday 2013 for $340 when it was still going for like $500 everywhere else.

For $2300-$2500 you can get an Italian-made HX machine like the Lelit Mara X or a compact dual boiler like the Lelit Elizabeth or Profitec Pro 300. Granted those machines have also been victims to inflation; back in 2017 when I bought a Pro 300, it was $2000 and now it's $2500.

Often, I read that people are successful using coupons when they make in store purchases despite "excluded from coupons". It might be worth a shot. (If online doesn't work).

For those of you with patience, Bed Bath & Beyond ran a 20% gift card sale back in June. RFD Link back then
Hudson's Bay will have its own promotions or discounts from time to time as well.
If the 20% off sign-up coupon does not work (unless the checkout page glitched out and coupon applies?), don't feel bad because sooner or later another deal will show up.

The coupon can only be applied if you are signed in.

Tried and true machine with a ton of accessories and parts on the market. Upvoting for a decent deal. Recommending a few game-changing things for those of you getting or have this already:

In this order:
Digital Mini Scale (Consistent grind amount to extraction) - $20
Weighted Distributer and tamper 53cm (Even tamping. The one that comes with just isn't good enough) - $40
Dosing Funnel 53cm (Prevents spilling grinds) - $15
Make your own WDT at home - Free
Single Dose Grinder -Niche/DF64/Eureka (expensive, but a step up in shot quality for sure) - $550+
IMS Shower Screen and Basket (for some extra crema and flavour depth) - $80
And of course, always fresh roasted coffee .

Been really happy with mine 4 years strong. Still best value machine on the market IMO. Gaggia and Lelit a close second. Also, Hoon's has by far the best channel on YouTube dedicated to working this machine.
