[The Brick] LG 60ʺ 60PB5600 1080P Plasma HDTV $598

The Brick has these until 12/7 in store only at $598. Likely chain wide, but not confirmed. Not that I would ever recommend buying a large TV from a furniture store, since their return policies are usually total s*it, but since most other retailers that did have a similar price last week have returned to $749-$799, maybe you can use a pic of the tag to get a PM elsewhere that will return or exchange it. Future Shop still has stock here, at $749, maybe you can get them to call TB to confirm the price, or they will accept a tag pic, and get it for $585. As in the previous thread, be advised that this TV does only have one HDMI and one component input.

Maybe Wal-mart might PM too. Typo in the product number though it is the same 60PB5600.

http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/lg-60-1080p ... 500/881232

Also shop.ca for $799 with free shipping and free return shipping. 20% Cash Back at Ebates or GCR -$160. No EHF fee, $39.50 in ON.

$799 -$160 =$639 with free shipping + no $39.50 EHF. Same as $598 + $39.50 EHF

I bought this tv on black friday. Impressed with what we got for the price. Picture is great, wouldnt recommend it for a living room during the day though. If you're ok with 1 hdmi you won't be disappointed.

1 hdmi is easily overcome with a cheap hdmi splitter with or with out auto switching.
Or your home theater av receiver of course.
Dun with posting deals.

I haven't checked for reviews online about this tv yet but I guess the tv shows a lot of glare?. I am thinking about getting this tv. Any more pros and cons that you can think of?. Main use for me would be for movie watching and the occasional Ps4 gaming. Thanks

Hi, I have the older 50" model, same TV though. Fantastic picture, though extremely high gloss. That said, I use mine with my PS4 and the controller glow doesn't bother me. Not the best for brightly lit rooms, but for normal/dimmer rooms can't go wrong.

AV INPUTS/OUTPUTS
HDMI® 1 (Side), 1 (Rear)

ya, but I assure you it really only has 1. There's no side hdmi port unfortunately. Since it only has one I'm sure it has ARC. I'll hook up this lg home theater I have tomorrow and let you know.

Father in law refused to wait until Black Friday and bought this same set for $749 2 weeks ago. They did give a nice bonus gift though, a red Brick shovel. Yes it's only one HDMI input

Only cons I can think of:
1) only 1 HDMI should not be an issue
2) Any plasma is not great for a brightly lit room.
3) 340w rated power consumption vs <60w for a 60" LED. But $300 in your pocket (compared to an LED) pays for more than a few kWh of juice...

My friend got this tv at micro centre on his trip from Detroit for $499. Just set it up yesterday and it's amazing for the price. He has a home theatre that splits the hdmi so he can have multiple inputs. Also I don't know if it's available on the Canadian model but in the us microcenter gave him a registration card to fill up and send to lg USA and they send him a wireless dongle that also makes the tv into a smart tv. I am not 100% sure about how it works.

Forgot to mention the 5 x Aeroplan miles if you order one from shop.ca and it is your first order after adding an AP card to your account. Not sure of the real world value of those miles, but I would guess $30-$40.

Any of these that is compatable with linux should work if free from lg is not available.
Not exactly a smart tv though just by adding wifi.
