If you can manage a VPN or region switcher, there is a load of content for free on BBC iPlayer, ITV hub and all4. There are Apps on most streaming platforms

Me too. I'm guessing we can cancel the Prime add on and subscribe to BritBox directly...I believe Acorn TV works the same way but haven't put it to the test as yet.

it seems to depend on the particular program. Some are really fresh, some less so.

Trying to subscribe right now still see $89.99 although the site does say promotions get applied after payment is everyone else still seeing that as well?

EDIT: You will not see the promotional price at anytime during sign up - you will receive an email after registration that will state you are paying a promotional price of $49.99 for one year, after which it states you will pay $89.99 per year.

Last time I tried BritBox it didn't have captions on chromecast

This was a problem because I can't really understand some of the regional accents without captions

Has that been fixed? I tried googling and didn't really get an answer
