Agreed. Great mono laser printer. Bought it for ~147 tax in mid last year.

Nice, I got the refurb 2370DW for a good price. Don't need a scanner or copier and it's smaller with wifi.

I have this DCP-L2550DW. It's pretty good. One thing it can't do it 2-sided copying/scanning from the feeder tray.

How are these for ink use? Does the cartridge last long?

Was going to buy but your comment stopped me. Anyone know the code/letter they use to signify that it can do 2-sided copying?

How heavy is this thing?

The box is 14.4KG

Wow

Would GTA Best Buy price match Visions?

Edit - I guess they should, I didn't realize Visions had locations here

PM with BB who is selling at 239.

So you will be getting a new one for a refurbished price.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the price match 10% of the difference? So wouldn't you save $10 making it 129?

From what others have been saying about the tmrefurb from brother is that they come in looking brand new and have full toners whereas brand new come with starter toners. I know aftermarket toners are cheap

Also if you add the free brother care warranty you get 1.5 years warranty vs 1 year

All good either way, I just need a new printer and was waiting for a decent deal on this printer

Can’t recommend Brother printers more. Very reliable and good value toners.

Ummm, trying to print from an iPad and Air Print doesn't detect the printer, I can detect it on my laptop though.....

The iPad should detect it since it's all on the same network, right?

You need the bonjour service enabled on the printer.

Rebooted the printer and now it works

So glad to be done with the inkjet

By the way, you can get the Brother Care 6 month extra warranty for free even if you buy the printer somewhere else if you register it on Brother's website

Not really sure what happened. I only got charged 88.19 for the printer.

Only just checked my digital receipt right now and it says 88.19.

My credit card was originally charged 108.19 but then refunded. It now shows the charge for 88.19.

The only thing that can think of was that I did try to see if the 15% email sign up stacked. That discount never did show up during checkout though. Only on digital receipt and my mastercard. So YMMV

Good deal.
Specs say the sheet feeder DOES duplex, so that means it can scan both sides.

I have an MFC-L2720dw from a similar previous deal. Single-sided scanning. Only slightly annoying.

One advantage of the MFC- over DCP- is that the firmware supports postscript. I thought that this was worthwhile in a network printer. But I still seem to need proprietary drivers on Linux. Maybe a work-around could be found.

Bit the bullet as well. My HP 4-in-1 has been causing me major scanning problems for years as it's discontinued and doesn't jive with the latest versions of macOS. I was also only charged $88.19 at least on the digital receipt. The clincher for me was the duplex printing which I have really always wanted. Duplex scanning isn't that much of a concern for me and the loss of fax is inconsequential.

Definitely makes this a pretty hot deal if you can get it for 88.19
