LOL what a rip off. You can get premade sheds that make this look like the disaster it is. Learn to spell too.

? Not likely. Even the cheapest 8x15 from costco is around $2000. A wood shed is much better than any plastic/vinyl shed you can buy. You can do a lot more modifications and it's strength and durability would be unmatched. You're comment is unjustified, senseless and useless. You a troll?

WOW, someone re-opened a 4.5 year old thread asking for a materials list on a shed built from cull lumber and H4M finds. Another had to diss the OP's work because it didn't measure up to a prefab shed sold at hardware stores (totally missing the re-use of materials point) and then insulted him to boot. What is this world coming to?

Those sheds are also made of 2x2's and cheap ass wood that will rot out very quickly. Your ignorance is bliss though!

I think different city has different by law for shed. In city of Vaughan, the size is based on the frontage feet as below, and the height is limited to 2.5 meters (8.25 ft).

Lot Frontage Maximum Floor Area of a Garden or
Storage Shed
Less than 9.0 m --> 6 m2
9.0 –to 17.99 m --> 8 m2
18 m and greater--> 10 m2
i) the garden or storage shed shall be located in the rear yard;
ii) the minimum rear and interior side yard shall be 0.6 metres;
iii) the minimum exterior side yard required shall be equal to that required for
the main use on the same lot;
iv) the maximum height of the garden or storage shed shall not exceed 2.5 metres
from finished grade to the highest point of the structure; and,
v) notwithstanding (ii) and (iii) above, eves, gutters and other similar
projections appurtenant to the garden or storage shed shall not encroach
more than 0.3 metres into the required yard.

Question, did you require a permit, (or do you require a permit) for a structure so large? Any problem getting one? Did you have to get approval from the neighbors?
Where I live you do and then it may be a problem for something so large, high especially. How high is it, 13 or 14 feet by the looks of the ladder in the shed and you said there was a 5 foot loft too. So you have a 10 ft by 14 ft by 14 foot high structure in an urban back yard.

Snow Road Station, O…
Nice shed ,well done

I built an 8x12 ,cost was low, used neighbor's old pressure treated deck for most of the lumber .
Price matched when Home Depot had a sale and Rona had %15 off coupons for the Sheeting .
Found used tin for the roof .
It was a lot of work pulling nails though , but my son wanted a shed for his projects.

OP is still around...maybe @betamaxman could re-upload. It’s a helpful thread.
