Building deck block foundation for shed

Building deck block foundation for shed

Planning to build a deck block base for a 9x7 shed but i am new to this

If I go to Rona or Home depot and show them my 9x7 shed, would they suggest the materials for the deck block foundation and cut all materials for me to buy and assemble?

And do they deliver the lumbers?

kind of, they can cut whatever material you have, you just have to give them the measurements. But i doubt they will make all the measurements for you.

And do they deliver the lumbers?

No they will not deliver lumber during covid. I tried like 4 times and they cancelled all my orders.

That’s very odd. They just need to deliver them to ur backyard

I am sure it all depends on their supply. I just received my large order of Cedar deck boards delivered, no problem. As most deliveries are made from a local store it helps to do an online check of their supply. I monitored their supply on a daily basis for over a week and when I saw the supply had just increased I made my order online and it was delivered. This was H.D.

NOTE - I would normally drive and pick-up, however I live about an hour away and did not want to risk the supply running out during the drive there.

Yes i think your correct they are still delivering all other types of lumber but PT lumber.

When i ordered from the stores they had stock but still my order got cancelled. Even called to complain but no luck. This was Rona and Lowes. HD totally removed PT lumber deliveries.

Lumber was only delivered in very large quantities. I don't think a 9x7 shed would have enough lumber for it

You can rent a van from Home Depot.

it depends where you are from. they may have restrictions for deliveries to your area

Went to Rona. They do lumber delivery in my area.

Newbie question. I believe i need to put plywood on top of my deck block foundation.

My foundation is 10 feet x 10 feet but all plywood comes in 4 feet x 8 feet. How would the plywood be able to fit my deck block foundation?

You cut it, you'll need 4 panels.
