Yes, take it to the front and they'll weigh it and write down the weight. Then when you checkout they'll tare it.

Just had a terrible experience at the local Bulk Barn in Winnipeg St Vital location. Manager is terrible. Will never give this store our business again.

Nope. Wouldn't accept online coupon. Said it needed to be printed. I've shown online coupon many times in the past. But manager tonight would not accept.

Wait so they made you pour everything back out of your own containers? For contamination reasons the product can’t be sold afterwards. Should’ve stood your ground. Shame on an eco friendly store to require a printed coupon.

It was my GF physically at the store and she called me from the store, where I spoke to the manager on the phone. My GF just ended up paying the full price. Not what I would have done but she's not comfortable with conflict. When she got home we both agreed we won't be going back to the store ever again.

I would email a complaint with the point gbill wrote above about the eco friendly thing.

That is strange. I’ve only used coupons shown on my phone and I have never had any problems.

We've just decided to never give that store our business again. Sometimes we prefer voting with our wallets.

I'd contact head office and complain because it sounds like you encountered a franchisee who needs to be told what's right. They might send you a credit to make amends

They call it a DIGITAL coupon in flyer that starts tomorrow
bulk dig.PNG

The only reasonable explanation for not accepting digital version might be that the franchisee has to submit a physical coupon to head office in order to receive some kind of credit. Franchisees always have umpteen silly rules they need to follow

When I go to Bulk Barn I just go to Bulkbarn.ca on my phone or search for bulkbarn.ca coupons with google
right now it is showing $2 off $10
and another coupon for $5 off $20

You do not need to print them, you just show them at the register.
the site is also showing the current flyer

The prices are not great if you are buying a large amount of something (especially things they sell at costco)
But it is a nice way to try small amounts of many things and get spices and teas.
I like the dark chocolate covered pretzels.

I am a big fan of the Hungry Hungry Hippie Trail mix.
They do not have it anymore (or I have not seen it)
I was curious so I weighed out 100 grams of it and then sorted it out into the ingredients, and weighed those so I could build it myself.
now I have the ingredient list and ratios.
There are only 6 ingredients. It cost 1.57/100gm for the mix
even at non sale prices the ingredients would cost 1.00/100gm, so if I make a kilo myself I save $5.70

Do I get a cheapskate award?
