Awesome deals on high quality gear, ended up ordering the photon boots for 60% off! Also contemplating getting the cartels and the flight attendant board too.

I bought the following set up:

Custom Camber Snowboard 158
Cartel EST Bindings (Large)
Photon Boots

Is this combo nay good? I haven't snowboarded in years. My old set up was Custom X with cartel bindings all from early 2000s. Is the sizing ok for a 185 lb 5'11 guy?

Sizing seems good, and you'll be happy with that setup. I actually looked at the Custom X Camber also but don't have my size. Blessing in disguise.

Hmmm... What boots to get? I do freeride/all-mountain/trees. No park. To be paired with Burton Flight Attendant and Rossignol XV Sushi LF.

I currently have old stiff lace up Burton MNS Driver boots but am considering new boots a half-size bigger, and this sale has several in my size. Not sure if I should go medium or stiff. I don't like soft. Available:

$250: Driver X (Stiff)
$300: Ion (Stiff)
$325: Ion Boa (Stiff)
$160: Imperial (Medium)
$180: Photon Boa (Medium)
$175: Ruler Boa (Medium)
$190: Swath (Medium)
$210: Swath Boa (Medium)

I'm a little apprehensive buying boots without trying them on though.

Great set up for all mountain. Sizing wise 158 range is 150-200lbs you will be good to go as long your boot size is 11 or smaller, otherwise best better go with a wide board.

Seems fine for an all mountain setup. Personally not a big fan of Burton boards, their edge tech is pretty mediocre. If you mainly board on the east coast I'd consider getting something with magnetraction (frostbite edges don't compare).

Agree that frostbite doesnt compare to mag; its barely noticeable. Mag really bites into ice but for me camber is preferred no question, even on ice with properly maintained edges.

Fit first. Try before you buy if you can or return/exchange is always an option.

Flex is more personal preference, medium flex provide all round good performance. Photons looks good for extra ankle/heel hold with the boa system looped around the back of boot. Priced right too. If you've been happy with a stiffer boots i'd say go with the Ions.
