Business Vendor Offers High Performance Gaming Laptops

Hi Gents,

A business vendor has offered me a number of units of a high performance business laptop, 30XX series GPU. Unfortunately, it's not an 11th gen CPU. Under $1,000 per unit.

Off lease refurbished from a corporate environment, light use, like new.

These units sell for around $2,500 online.

Do I buy with the intention of flipping, or is the online resale of laptops a volatile market subject to severe fluctuation?

Thoughts, folks.

What 30xx GPU? If it's 3050, I wouldn't bother.

I'm pretty sure I'm not suppose to say, to avoid doxxing the B2B seller.

It's not a 3050, which IMO doesn't really count as 30XX series anyways.

It's a strong enough GPU to have you stand at attention.

I'm leaning against not buying because of the scammy nature of gaming hardware resale.

It would be a 150+ upvote thread if it were available to the public.

I'm more surprised 30XX are being sent back already. That must have been one short lease....

Assuming 3070/3080 that's a good deal but anything below I'm not sure I'd bother with. 3060 might still be an okay deal but with the work of selling vs profit I'm not sure I'd deal with the general public for a few bucks. 3070/3080 though I'd be your customer depending on how much you're charging me.

Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

There's a risk that those were used for crypto mining, since it sounds too good to be true.

I might be willing to sell for $1800 flat to you, which is $1592 effective pretax.

It's on the better side of specs that you're assuming.

I'd have to see if there's still stock.

I bought the last one.

I was going to order (5x) for the hell of it, but even a (2x) order was stocked out, so went with one.

Price kept dropping too, ridiculous.

@death_hawk, let me see what condition it's in, and we'll talk.

LOL yeah even if it's low end $1000 is a pretty good deal. High end is a no brainer.
