[Busy Bee Tools] Dewalt string trimmer DCST922B 159$

Was shopping for a dewalt string trimmer and found this on busy bee tools website. Dewalt dcst922b foldable 20v string trimmer, tool only. Seems to be 210$ almost everywhere. As a bonus, they only charged me the federal tax (I'm in Quebec).

EDIT: you can pm at Home Depot for a total of $143 +tx. If in QC, it's about $2 less than Busy Bee Tools at the end.

no battery, seems cold. Waiting for the Ryobi 13" to get back in stock at HD with the free battery for $98.

Great deal even as tool only. I have this. The brushless is fantastic. Has two speeds, high / low. I've gone through a few trimmers and this one hits the mark. Even the string is heavy duty and doesn't easily wear down.

You can buy the Ryobi 13" for 98$ if you prefer, but for the Dewalt it's a great price!

How much the battery cost separately. Also can it be used as edge trimmer.

If you don't already have dewalt batteries/chargers, I don't think it's a good deal for you, it will run you over 100$ for the charger+ battery. I'll let others answer your question about the edge trimmer.

I price matched Home Depot through chat for an additional 10% off. Ended up being $143.10 + tax.

I have a bunch of Dewalt tools and was on the fence about this trimmer until my wife got it for me as a gift. Very happy with it! I like that it folds up and my batteries still have juice after doing my whole yard.

Might actually be lower at KMS Tools if you call in/email them/buy in-store. They have it listed as part of their MAP program.

I have this trimmer, works great if you're already in the Dewalt system. Motor makes a rumble noise as well which is hilarious/awesome, doesn't sound like all the other electric trimmers with their high pitched whirring noises.
I use it for edge trimming, but as far as I know there's no actual trimmer wheel attachment available. What complicates things is that there's a trigger lockout that you need to press as well, so it's a little bit awkward to hold. Otherwise though, it's a great trimmer. Again, wouldn't get it if you're not already in the Dewalt system though.

Edit: Just checked my invoice from a year ago, it was cheaper though KMS Tools via their MAP program. Not going to post the price here since they aren't actually allowed to publish the lower price.

Edit 2: Saw the post above, it's cheaper via PM at HD.

Thanks! I just did the same and price matched at HD. I've had this trimmer on my Amazon watch list for almost 2 years and this is by far the best price I've seen yet.

Showing in stock at Home Depot Scarborough for $299 right now.
Bought it for the same price 2 years ago. 4 AH might not be enough for trimming and blower if you have a big yard. I use 6 AH now with out changing battery.

I bought one of these at the start of summer for 189.99+tax.

I have other Dewalt tools so it made sense. No regrets. I'll never go back to gas.

I can do my entire property with a 10yr old 1.5AH battery. With a new 5AH battery it doesn't even reduce the charge down a bar.

Only complaint is its hard to edge with but other then that I love it.

Price is pretty good after price match and the DeWalt trimmer lines are okay in durability.

However, I'd still recommend checking the Project Farm review of other trimmer lines as alternatives. The cost differences isn't that signficant considering you'd be committed to 200ft+ worth of line to use.
